# Community Airdrop

EtherScore will bootstrap its community by issuing a collection of badges. To do so, the protocol will identify a valuable community that represents a diverse group of blockchain users. Selections might include developers, miners, and users of various Dapps categories (DeFi, DAOs, art NFTs, social networks, PoP, etc.). The selected community will be eligible for an EtherScore Badge, a future airdrop of ETS tokens, and an invitation to participate in EtherScore’s genesis governance.

Participants will become EtherScore’s first userbase and further airdrops will be conducted to expand DAO participation. To better identify users, future airdrops may be subject to DAO proposals and votes. EtherScore’s ultimate goal is to empower the DAO to be capable of automatically issuing badges based on community proposals.

Community airdrops will demonstrate several use cases of EtherScore Badges to a large number of users: community curation and event passes. After the airdrop, EtherScore expects to see partners publish their own sets of badges in the EtherScore system, offering benefits to their own communities.
