# I like to work

I like to work at the computer with nothing between me and what I'm doing. I like to have a little silence and to have nothing but the sound of me typing and the music coming from my speakers. And sometimes the sound of the rain against my window. I was happily writing in my home office, typing away, when suddenly the electricity went out. My brand new computer died. My not very old desktop is still going strong, but nothing on the little one would even turn on. It was a good thing that I have a big fat surge protector. (See what I did there? I made a pun.) I went outside to find Mr. Genius. "Mr. Genius, there is a mouse in my bathroom." "Oh, I thought you said the window was open." "No, it's in the bathroom. I can hear it moving. And there are droppings on the tile. Can you come?" Mr. Genius came to investigate. He checked out the mouse and window and found nothing. He came back to the computer. "Are you sure it's in the bathroom?" "Yes, I can hear it moving around." "Okay, I'll shut the
