# Refining kindness

In a world where kindness questioned and judged,

It's a sad reality we've begrudgingly trudged.

Rudeness, now accepted, has become the norm,

Leaving kindness to wonder where it's gone.

Oh, the hypocrisy of this twisted charade,

Where intentions of goodness must be weighed.

When genuine souls choose to share their light,

They're met with skepticism, doubting their might.

Children raised in a world of caution and fear,

Told goodness exists only when they're near.

But in shielding their hearts from the unknown,

We hinder connections, seeds left unsown.

For vulnerability and trust hold such power,

In the realm of human connection, they flower.

To silence these traits is to rob them of growth,

To deprive them of the beauty that binds us both.

So let us embrace kindness, without second guess,

Allowing our souls to freely express.

For in a world starved of compassion and grace,

Kindness stands tall, leaving an indelible trace.
