# Transition to Labs

### Why Labs

We have done many things in crypto since 2017, working behind the scenes on various projects and taking part in important events. Our latest product [Soulbounds](https://www.soulbonds.xyz/) attracted 500+ minters and acted for the industry as an example of decentralized and gasless technology for showcasing on-chain activity. With every endeavor, we've picked up more insights, sharpened our skills, and deepened our understanding of the potential blockchain technology holds. It's been a wild ride filled with tons of learning and some great fun too.

Today, we're taking the plunge and channeling all this experience and energy into building a crypto labs team that will create (hopefully) innovative products. Launching Labs doesn’t only create a new brand for our products but also makes us commit to constant delivery. We're committed to uniting our ideas, concepts, and projects under one roof, bringing high transparency and innovation to the crypto space.     

### Why Transition

We live in a very dynamic world that is constantly changing due to the actions of living beings and also because of the laws that make it up. Blockchains are not as dynamic, but they work according to a set of rules so that all participants in the network have a consensus on its state.

And here comes the State Transition Function (STF), which dictates how any blockchain moves from one state to a new one, usually in blocks. We are inspired by how this concept works and how blockchains get better with every hard fork that changes their STFs. We plan to raise the personal bar in the same way with each newly launched project, so that it allows us to improve not only the state of our results, but also the state at the blockchain level.

The State Transition function represents a vital concept in blockchain tech, and our goal is to build products based on the principles of this function:

1.  Make visible changes to the states of directions we're working on.
    
2.  Rely on low-level proofs and always go back to first principles when making decisions.
    
3.  Stay transparent, verifiable, and decentralized.
    

### What is next

We are going to experiment a lot, deliver fast, and make mistakes, but always get back on track. Some concepts will bear fruit, others might not. However, one thing we can definitely promise is that we won’t build mediocre things and repeat the mechanics and products for the hype already made by others. We will always try to build something new and extend our industry. To infinity and beyond, so expect the unexpected.

And like a cherry on the cake, we are almost ready to announce the new protocol we’ve been building lately. Stay tuned, as we’ll reveal more details in the coming days. And welcome to Transition Labs.
