# On the summit

> as melting glaciers  
> reveal rocks unseen  
> for millennia._

It's humbling to visit mountain summits. Now, I'm not a climber, but fortunately some summits have been made accessible by cabin lifts. The sheer uninhabitable environment and the views are breath-taking. As is touching snow in summer.

But the summits have less snow and ice on them than before. You can see how glaciers are smaller than they used to be. And if you ask geologists, they can tell you it's real. We are warming the planet in such a way, that we are changing the balance. And on the summit, you can see it for yourself.
