Don't go into the town center, there's nothing there. Maybe the inn, but it's too touristy. No, go back down by the field, that is where he painted that picture with the crows. The light there... it's magical.Off the beaten track, like a local. Travel is most fun when you get to the parts everybody wants to see, and then go beyond to the parts most people generally skip. A great source for tips on that, are locals. If you get an insider's tip, you get just that bit more from a travel experience. That's what this poem, a free verse one this time, is about: celebrating travel beyond the tourist traps. And finding people who are willing to share their tips with you. We found this one is a local epicerie, where the owner happened to live in the town where Vincent van Gogh spent his last months.
