# Your stairway

Be careful where you step, stairs can take you higher and bring you down. Only you know which way you wamt to go. A few years ago, we were vacationing in Bretagne, and one driving along the coast, finding a spot to go to the beach. We came to a rather nice litte port town, and wandered about a bit. Then we spotted stairs, leading down to a small, secluded beach. Sometimes, to reach paradise, you need to go lower. And that's the thing with life: it's good to take well-meant advice to heart, but in the end, it is you who decides what's the best direction for you to grow to. Self-improvement is not about becoming what others tell you is good, it's about becoming a better version of you. And you decide what that looks like.
