The coin is under assault by most governments from economically developed nations. They see the coin as the single monetary instrument that will undermine their hegemony on global power. Yet the coin poses no threat at all. Bitcoin is the solution to the monetary instability that has plagued all economies, rich and poor. If all nations around the world decided to combine their wealth into Bitcoin, humanity will, the first time, irradiate poverty, war, and tackle all the global challenges, including peace and economic stability. We would have a single monetary policy and unit of account, while simultaneously maintaining our individual sovereignty. What is wrong with this model? The only reason why the powerful nations will not adopt Bitcoin as a medium of account (payment and savings) is because they are afraid of losing their advantageous — imperial or neo-colonial — positions vis-a-vis the poor nations. What is most important to these nations is not peace, stability, human rights, equality or global climate stability. They want Power, Wealth, and Dominance. These are the primal concerns on the minds of the so-called first-world nations. They have accumulated wealth, weapons, technology, and a highly sophisticated financial system that allows them to undermine all poor and developing nations. They have no interest in sharing this ill-gained power with the rest of the world. Instead, they want the poor nations to buy their products, worship their gods, speak their language, install their forms of government, and most of all, accept the perpetual poverty they have placed upon them. Along comes Bitcoin to challenge this legacy model with its decentralized and permissionless blockchain technology, allowing anyone around the world to participate in a global payment/savings network that, for the first time in human history, is not controlled by any government. This is a total revolution — a freedom that we have yet to imagine. Can you picture a world where all citizens would have the opportunity to live their lives free of economic exploitation? This is the world that Bitcoin can produce if developing nations join the network. What would happen to the dominant currencies if the rest of the poor nations adopt Bitcoin as a medium of payment and reserve? Eventually, these fiat currencies will lose their power as more and more people abandon their use as a medium of international trade. This is what is beginning to happen in El Salvador, the first nation to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender. As more nations join the Bitcoin network, international payment networks will be modified so that one can import/export using a stable coin or Bitcoin as medium of settlement. Eventually, no one will want to settle international trade using a fiat currency since it poses a naked risk in that fiat currencies have no underlying global network like Bitcoin, but merely represent a ‘trust’ in the issuing government, a trust that has no backing other than “faith.” Too many human lives have been wasted on lies and fraudulent financial, religious, and governmental schemes to control people. There are no superior or inferior nations, peoples, economies, societies, or countries. Nature does not create inferiority. It only propagates excellence, wisdom, creativity, power, beauty, and goodness. Bitcoin is the product of all these Forces of Nature in a monetary unit of account. It incorporates a Trustless system of value that is independent of human manipulation. As a cosmic clement — electricity — encrypted into a currency, Bitcoin is free to propagate value and open to being acquired by anyone irrespective of their race, gender, orientation, economic background or social status. Like Mother Nature, it embraces all her children. No one is chosen and no one is left out.
