The photo of his own front door burned in Thorne’s mind. _Vance knew where he lived._ He tore through the streets, radio screaming: **"All units to my residence—officer in imminent danger!"**

His ex-wife, Lena, answered his frantic call, Noah’s sleepy voice in the background. "Aris? What’s—"
**"Get out NOW,"** he hissed. **"Take Noah, go to the precinct. Don’t stop. Don’t look back."**

As Lena scrambled, Thorne skidded into his driveway—just as a shadow detached from the oak tree in his yard. **Grim.** The German Shepherd’s low growl vibrated in the humid air, teeth bared. But something was wrong. The dog’s flank was bleeding, his movements jerky—_Vance had hurt him_.

Inside, Thorne’s home was untouched. No forced entry. No ransacking. Only a single Polaroid taped to his fridge:
_A crumpled child’s drawing—a stick-figure family beside a burning house._
**Vance’s sister, Emily, had drawn it hours before she died.**

Rivera’s call cut through the dread: **"Boss, Serena Cole’s notebook—it wasn’t just about Vance. She wrote about a ‘shattered boy’… plural. Vance wasn’t alone the night of the fire."**

Thorne froze. The juvenile records mentioned no accomplice. But Cole’s notes hinted at a secret witness—a boy who fled before the flames took Emily. _Someone Vance blamed for abandoning them._

Suddenly, his phone buzzed—an unknown number. A distorted voice whispered:
**"You took my sister’s voice. Now I take yours. Come to the old water tower. Alone. Or the psychologist screams."**

**Thorne faced an impossible choice: save Serena Cole… or walk into a trap designed to orphan his son, just like Vance.**

_(End of Episode 5)_

> _Who was Vance’s mysterious accomplice? Can Thorne save Serena? And will Grim turn on his master? The final confrontation begins Sunday. #StolenNights #NoWayOut #WhosTheShatteredBoy_
