Coinbase通过OP stack的技术推出base layer2网络 coinbase选择推出ethereum layer2网络而不是L1。显示出他们对于以太坊生态非常看好和积极投入。这将为基于以太坊的defi生态带来用户，资金，技术和品牌，并且使以太坊生态更加出圈。coinbase也会受益于本来就已经非常丰富的EVM Defi生态体系，位自己的业务增加价值。 coinbase与optimism合作，改变了目前以太坊layer2的竞争格局。optimism暂时取得一定优势，基于op stack的方案有可能成为模块化的layer2解决方案。这取决于base网络的变现和optimism自身的生态后续表现。
