The Unlock Protocol DAO community now has a direct hand in shaping how Unlock Protocol is implemented on the Linea network.

The Unlock Protocol implementation on the Linea blockchain has [transitioned its control](https://github.com/unlock-protocol/unlock/pull/14597) and is now included in the Unlock Protocol DAO’s cross-chain governance process. This move is part of the ongoing progressive decentralization of Unlock Protocol.

The Unlock contract on Linea, which had previously not been connected to the [Unlock DAO’s groundbreaking cross-chain governance approach](https://unlock-protocol.com/blog/crosschain-connext-safe), is now managed in the same manner as the other networks directly managed by the Unlock Protocol DAO through cross-chain governance.
