They don’t try to impress you right away. They just sit there quietly until you start to see them differently. That’s what this new campaign of ours feels like. [Unlock x Incented](https://incented.co/details/22f3773a-a709-4b84-b0f1-10dc72adbf1e) feels simple on the surface, has quite the right stack of complexity, and the more you think about it, the more it makes sense for us to run a campaign like that. At first glance, it looks like just another content challenge. Make a short video. Submit it. Earn something. But it’s not really about that. It’s not about chasing attention. It’s about explaining something clearly and in a friendly way.  It’s about creating understanding for Unlock Protocol. But most importantly, it’s not about one person winning everything. This campaign is about people contributing in their own way and getting recognized for it. * * * Who is the Challenge for, and what is it about? ----------------------------------------------- Let me give you an example by introducing an imaginary person named Jef. He’s not a big creator with a huge following, but he likes making short videos here and there. Nothing too serious. One day, he comes across Unlock. At first, it feels like one of those things you have to “figure out” before you can even talk about it. Memberships, smart contracts, all of that. But the more he looks at it, the simpler it gets. It’s not really about tech. It’s about helping people control their work and their audience without unnecessary middlemen.   Then he sees the Unlock x Incentive campaign. He sits down and makes a 15 to 40-second video.  He focuses on a specific user group within Unlock and explains how it helps them. That’s it. At first, it sounds almost too simple. But then it clicks. This isn’t about making the best video on the internet. It’s about explaining something in a way that actually makes sense and is easy to follow. And the reward is the cherry on top of the cake! * * * What is in it for you? ---------------------- There’s $600 USDC for creators and 30,000 UP tokens for voters. But it’s not structured like most competitions, where one person takes everything. Here, if your video meets the mark (51% quorum) and gets enough support from the community, you qualify. That means more than one person can win. It shifts the whole mindset. You’re not fighting for attention; instead, clear, understandable, and well-done educational content is rewarded. If it is fun to watch on top, great, go for it! * * * How to take part as a Creator & a Voter --------------------------------------- So how do you actually join our first campaign with Incented? There are two ways, not mutually exclusive: You can take part as a Creator and/or a Voter. ### For CREATORS To get back to our imaginary friend: Jef didn’t overthink it. Then he asked himself a simple question: “If my friend wanted to sell tickets and be in full control of them for his next event, how would I explain this to him?” That question shaped his video. He didn’t try to sound technical. He didn’t try to sound impressive. He just made it easy to follow. That was enough. Because when the community reviews submissions, they’re not looking for perfection. They’re looking for four simple things. * **Can people understand it?**   * **Is it correct?**   * **Does it hold attention?**   * **Does it feel like Unlock?** That’s really it. Of course, it’s not all effortless. Some people might struggle to simplify their thoughts. Some might overthink their video. Others might hesitate to even try. That’s normal. But there’s another way to look at it. You’re not being asked to be perfect. You’re just being asked to explain something to a friend in simple and clear words. ### For VOTERS As mentioned, you can also take part as a voter. Anyone with UP tokens can vote. And even that isn’t just passive. If you vote thoughtfully and objectively support strong submissions, you earn rewards too. But be aware that if you vote only in favor of someone you like, rather than because their content is excellent, the UP tokens you staked will be "slashed" by 10%. By submitting, you agree that Unlock can repost your video if it qualifies, and you will be credited. You can still share it on your own platforms too.
