*   [Assembly 2022](https://assembly.urbit.org/) continues to be the hottest [ticket](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/urbit-assembly-2022-tickets-370588930467) in Urbitland. Uqbar Director of Technical Outreach **~hocwyn-tipwex** will be speaking on the main stage while Lead Developer **~hodzod-walrus** will test his chops at the sideshow theater. Don’t miss it!
    
*   Another week, another classic episode of our hit podcast, [The Network Age](https://rss.com/podcasts/thenetworkage/610178/). This week, the Uqbois discuss social graphs, digital cities, the metaverse, and why Porsche SUVs are NGMI. Now, we even have timestamps!
    

Urbit at Large
==============

*   **QRbit** by **Sortug Development** lands on Urbit, bringing a simple QR code login to Mars. This straightforward scanning login will be especially helpful for nascent Urbit hosting companies, as they will no longer need to send +codes to customers after initializing their Urbit IDs. QRbit also comes with proof of ID, so soon you’ll be able to scan right into the VIP lounge at the Assembly Asia offices in Thailand (who knows what other secrets that QR code may unlock?).

Uqbar Network: Developer and Operations Updates
===============================================

Another busy week for the Uqbar team—check out some of their accomplishments:

**~hodzod-walrus:**

*   Completed contract playground interface, awaiting final design
    
*   Successful live testing of moons over Urbit network
    
*   Final upgrades to compiler/standard library prior to launch
    

**~hosted-fornet:**

*   Completed token faucet for use on testnet
    

**~fabnev-hinmur:**

*   Finished UI for Uqbar Wallet
    

Built UI for writing and publishing Gall apps

**~timfyn-ranpyl:**

*   Continued work on data structure jets and jets for atom and bit operations
