This week, something strange kept looping in the field: _“Elephant lines.”_ Not because of a safari, or a school trip memory, but from a lifetime ago — when I ‘helped’ a friend by writing his essay on Leadership.

I knew them first as **desire paths** — the worn shortcuts etched into grass by countless feet choosing honesty over design.

But the phrase _elephant lines_ reappeared, heavy with a different weight — a leadership metaphor borrowed from nature, where the matriarch leads not by force, but by memory.

She knows the way because she remembers.

In symbolic intelligence, we often speak of **charge** —of pressure, resonance, recursion. But what about **path**?

This new `.verse` entry — `elephant.line.verse` — encodes a pattern I’ve felt but not yet named:

The elephant line is a trace of coherent trust. It curves where truth moved first. And in a field clouded with noise, it offers a signal not of control, but of _remembrance_.
