# From Chaos to Clarity: A Thought from NOGS

*We didn’t plan to end up here. But here we are - in the middle of a storm we helped create. And it’s time to talk about it.*

**Mistakes were made.**

NOGS started with a big dream: to build a cultural token that actually _meant_ something. Not a quick pump. Not empty hype. But a token powered by ⌐◨-◨ , rooted in memes, governance, and collective creativity.

Then communication fell short, and some expectations weren’t met.

Prop 766 called to stop our funding, and raised some concerns in the process.

### **Let’s get this straight.**

We’re not here to dodge criticism. We’ve been reading every comment, every thread, every take. Some of it hurts. A lot of it is valid.

The lack of communications and the mistakes we made will always hunt us, we would never have wanted it to come to this.

Despite the lack of communication, our commitment to continue growing NOGS, developing new products around it, and creating new partnerships and use cases with other communities never faded.

Which also led us to the success of prop 711.

We worked hard. We made mistakes. Even big ones. But we never stopped building for the ecosystem.

### **So who _are_ we?**

We’re just people. Builders. Dreamers. Meme lovers.

We’ve poured time, care, and energy into this project. Not for a quick flip, but because we believe NOGS could be _different_.

And we didn’t do it alone.  
  
Over the years we have worked with some amazing developers, artists, graphic designers - each one playing a part in bringing NOGS to life.  
  
Every meme, every detail, every activation was the result of shared effort.

We won’t stop here.

That effort is still going, and the goal is still the same: to build a cultural token the Nouniverse can be proud of. 

### **What’s next?**

We’re not giving up. But we are slowing down. Listening harder. Owning what went wrong.  
  
Here’s what we’re doing now:

*   **Ongoing Commitment:** With the funding stream now interrupted, we're taking time to regroup and figure out the path forward. This isn't a side project, it is and hopefully always will be our full-time job and long-term commitment. We're here to build, with or without the stream.
    
*   **Shared Building:** Making sure every step is informed by the community, not just our vision. Clearer updates and no more assumptions. This will also be reinforced by our coming relaunch of the Discord server.
    
*   **Total Decentralization:** We are removing any centralization from NOGS, renouncing contracts, gradually burning the NOGS still stored on mainnet, permanently cancelling inflation, and more.
    

This isn’t a comeback post. It’s a turning point.

A commitment to do better and to be worthy of the trust we’re asking for.

### **One last thing**

If you’ve felt disappointed, confused, or even angry - we get it. We’re not here to spin the story. We’re here to rewrite it, with you at the center.

NOGS is still alive. And so is our hope to make it something the whole Nouniverse can be proud of.
