# Money

The idea of ‘money’ is a tantalising one. We have a vague idea of when it originated but now it has come to acquire its own place in our lives - in different forms.

21 years ago, as a fresh graduate, I was wondering about the meaning of money in my life. They were the years, when I was still financially dependent and a decent paying job was high on the mind.

I never thought I would end up writing on money.

As I look back at the last 2 decades, I realise that my approach towards money has not changed. My values with regards to money are intact.

It was written at a young age so it might sound simplistic but I hope it resonates with you.

_The sounds of coins tinkering_ _the rshshsh of notes;_ _It’s the medium of exchange_ _that’s what money denotes;_

_It’s the copper’s delight_ _the paper’s fancy;_ _Attracts them to everyone_ _with eyes glanci’;_

_Money is a miracle_ _it brings you fame;_ _The possession of it_ _makes your’s a ubiquitous name;_

_Money is a fodder_ _it brings to you goaders;_ _A plenty of them_ _always ready to tend;_

_Money gives you hope_ _raises your ability to cope;_ _Its absence makes you cry_ _weak, thin and wry;_

_Money has no parallel_ _some store it in barrels;_ _It is the measure of your laurels_ _And the root of all quarrels;_

_The essence of your pay packet_ _decides your tax bracket;_ _It is the rich’s dame_ _but the poor is in vain;_

_Money has its heads_ _Money has its tails;_ _It can’t bring you love_ _but it can bring you bail;_

_A nine day wonder_ _money is not everything;_ _But the fact remains_ _it is a sweet little thing;_

_Its M-O-N-E-Y……..money._
