# Some thoughts on NFT Projects

I have been collecting NFT since last year and have collected a few hundred pieces, made a little $$$ then get rugged really bad, so I have some bittersweet hands-on experience and thoughts to share with the overall NFT community.

1. Community, Community. Can't strengthen how important it is! before FOMO in, pls go to the discord server, find the community size, read all the channels, and observe the vibe, whether it's positive, harmonious, united; or has some FUD (red flag). No good community, NGMI.

2. Morality of the team and whether they put the community on top rather than their own pocket. I have witnessed few rugs, so I know how important it is to avoid getting rug-pulled by the team.

3. Few questions to ask: 1)do they have a detailed/ forward-looking roadmap? 2)do they stick with their roadmap? 3)do they take all actions to put the community on top? 4)do they have a strong will to fix issues, overcome challenges or bend their knees easily?

4. Utility. There are just so many JPEG projects, they get hyped super quick, and then get forgotten a month later. To survive longer, the project needs good utility (e.g. airdrop future artworks, merch products, derivatives) and motivation & incentivization for holders.

5. Don't just buy an NFT, and then leave it there and beg God that your NFT will be successful. The success of the project depends on you. Go to the community, help & support each other, spread good vibes, shill the NFT to your friends. (assuming you have done due diligence)
