《爱，死亡和机器人》第三季惊喜不少。九集故事，一部分着眼于现实的隐喻，一部分关注人类的命运，还有一集强调意识的自我圆融。

我觉得《机器的脉动》（The Very Pulse of the Machine）很有上世纪科幻的复古味道，或者说像迷你版的《索拉里斯星》，也是整个第三季里最优秀的一集。原著曾获得 1999 年雨果奖最佳短篇小说，由拿过 5 次雨果奖、1 次星云奖的美国科幻作家迈克尔·斯万维克创作。片中特意出现一本《旧日之诗》的书籍，封面上写的作家名字就是迈克尔·斯万维克。
