# $300,000 worth of onboarding fees collected

In June 2024, the WeatherXM Network Association collected $129,000 worth of onboarding fees(*). This is the second payment of onboarding fees. The first one, worth $171,000, was paid in May. The total amount of $300,000 corresponds to the first batch of 3,000 stations manufactured by WeatherXM AG in Q2 2024. The approval process ensures the quality of the devices and of the data collected. The process also ensures that the devices can provide the cryptographic proofs required by the Network. For every device approved, an onboarding fee of $100 is paid to the Association. (More info on Hardware manufacturers and hardware diversity).
