This upgrade addresses those vulnerabilities, includes an L2 hardfork to improve the stability and performance of the fault proof system, and proposes to extend Guardian and DeputyGuardian capabilities to prevent referencing invalid anchor states among other implementations to improve robustness. If passed, the upgrade will undergo Citizen’s veto and then will be scheduled for September 10th. Node operators must upgrade their node software _prior_ to September 11th. Any proof submissions within the last 7 days from the upgrade will be invalid and users will have to resubmit the proofs.
