Date: Tuesday July 30th Find the call in the Optimism Governance Calendar. 💵 Grant News Retro Funding 5 Announcement Retro Funding 5 will allocate 8M OP to reward the impact of OP Stack contributors across 3 main categories: Ethereum Core Contributors, OP Stack research & Development, OP Stack Tooling. This round rewards contributions between October 2023 - August 2024. Retro Funding 5 will experiment in voting by creating groups according to expertise. Expertise will be measured through their GitHub activity relating to the OP Stack. The round will include random sampling of existing badgeholders and a selection of one-time-guest voters with expertise. Voters will then be arranged into three groups: badgeholders with expertise, without expertise and guest voters. This design allows the observation of differences in voting patterns between experts and non-experts in allocating rewards for OP Stack contributions.
