Web3JC
Hey y’all! It’s JC
Crypto’s a 24/7 jungle. I’ve been in this space since 2018, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned the hard way, it’s that without a solid toolkit, you’ll either drown in noise or get wrecked chasing the wrong info. Back in the day, I used to flip between a number of different apps and tabs, obsessively checking price action like it was oxygen. Now? I keep things lean, simple, and useful.
So today I’m breaking down what I actually use every day, apps, platforms, news sources, and routines to stay informed, grounded, and focused. No fluff, not overloaded. Just the kit that helps me move smarter.
Quick heads-up this is not financial advice, just how I roll.
Platforms I Live On
Warpcast
This is where I have my best conversations. Warpcast feels like what crypto Twitter used to be, raw ideas, builders chatting, alpha flowing without being buried under memes and noise. I’ve made real connections here, joined calls, even picked up contract gigs just by showing up consistently. If you’re not on it yet, you’re missing where a lot of the next cycle’s energy is forming.
X / Twitter
Still the king of chaos. X is where I catch trends in real-time. It’s loud, messy, and often a distraction but if you follow the right people, it’s a goldmine. I’ve filtered my feed, Less influencers, more devs, founders, and researchers.
Paragraph
This one’s personal. Writing here every day has helped me stay accountable and actually think. I’m not just reacting to the market anymore, I’m reflecting on it. And when you start putting your thoughts into words, it helps massively with making decisions along with helping you guys. If you’re lurking in the space, try writing even if it's just for yourself.
Where I Watch the Market
CoinMarketCap
Classic. Not flashy, not perfect, but it gives me a quick top-down look. I’m in here a few times a day checking volumes, price movement, and spotting weird pumps that might lead to something deeper.
Artemis
This one’s slept on. Artemis gives actual protocol data, users, transactions, dev activity across chains. When I’m curious if a project is just being hyped or actually getting used, this is where I dig in. Great for comparing chains side by side too. Sui vs. Sonic, Base vs. Polygon, etc.
Where I Get My News
Blockworks
Clean, consistent, and less clickbaity than most. They’ve got solid newsletter drops and quick-hit Twitter summaries that actually feel curated. Good pulse-check in the morning without drowning in drama.
CryptoPanic
Underrated gem. It’s like Google News but for crypto. Pulls from dozens of sources and sorts by trending, latest, or even sentiment. It’s my go-to when I want to catch everything fast and skim for signals.
The Block
I don’t check it every day, but when I’m looking for more in-depth coverage on a specific move or breaking event, The Block usually has the details. Especially handy when you want more than just headlines.
X / Twitter (Again)
Let’s be honest... news breaks on Twitter first. Even before the outlets write about it. I follow accounts like The Block, Wu Blockchain, and individual contributors who are always early. But again, filtering is key.
A Few Bonus Tools I Like
Token Terminal
If you’re even semi-serious about understanding value in crypto, this is a cheat code. Real metrics, real revenue. Not vibes, not hype. I use it when I’m researching whether a protocol is more than just a Discord cult.
Kaito
This one’s a recent add. It’s AI-powered and helps me search across Reddit, Twitter, Discord, and podcasts at once. Perfect when I’m doing deep dives and don’t want to miss the niche takes.
DeFiLlama
If I want to see where capital is actually flowing not just what’s trending this is my source. TVL, volume, active protocols, chain stats. Way more helpful than guessing based on what people are yelling about.
Routines That Keep Me Grounded
I try not to live on the charts anymore. I do a 1-2 hours in the morning scanning news, token movement, any major governance stuff or launches. Then I let it breathe. I check back in later in the day, maybe once or twice and again at night. That’s it.
Throughout the day, I’ll scroll Warpcast or X, reply to people, join a space to connect. But I’ve learned to engage with intention and not just consume.
And I always take notes. Every day. On what I’ve learned, what I’m watching, what I’m thinking. It’s made a huge difference.
Wrap-Up
Crypto’s loud. Staying sharp is a full-time job. But with the right toolkit and the discipline to use it right, you don’t just survive the noise, you start seeing through it.
These tools won’t make you rich. But they’ll make you smarter, more connected, and more confident in how you move through crypto. And in the long run? That’s worth more than a lucky flip.
What’s in your toolkit right now? Got any hidden gems I should be using? Drop ’em below I’m always keen to sharpen mine.
