Imagine that you are in the web3 space, but which is completely identical to web2 and suitable for the average ordinary Internet user from anywhere in the world. This is just about Pharos, a flexible blockchain that is able to attract millions of users not only from the crypto space, but also from the usual traditional web2.

Pharos has created a multi-level and flexible blockchain system. Its architecture consists of three main levels: Basic (L1-Base), Main (L1-Core) and Extension (L1-Extension).

L1-Base (Basic level)

This is the foundation that is responsible for maximum data availability and uses special equipment for high-speed operation.

L1-Core (Main Network)

It is a high-speed and globally distributed blockchain network supported by independent participants (nodes). It processes transactions with high throughput and confirms transactions in less than a second. This allows Web3 users and applications to work in real time without delays.

L1-Extension (Extension level)

This is an add-on to the main network, which allows you to scale and adapt the system to different tasks in three ways:

Creation of specialized networks (SPN): The system uses different types of computing power to create separate, targeted networks. These networks can operate as independent blockchains, as auxiliary chains, or even run non-local applications, for example, for high-frequency trading (HFT), machine learning with privacy (ZKML), or artificial intelligence (AI).

Built-in warranty reuse (restaking) system: There is a built-in mechanism for the rapid launch of new specialized networks (SPNs). It allows you to use the same financial guarantees (staking) to ensure the security of all networks, distribute rewards and apply penalties for unreliable work. SPNs effectively use the available capacities of validators, which gives flexibility in resource allocation and stimulates equipment modernization.

Easy interaction between networks: The expansion layer provides seamless connectivity between all established specialized networks (SPNs). This allows infrastructure, utilities, and application networks to easily "communicate" and work together, forming a modular and customizable ecosystem.

How the Pharos ecosystem works

The Pharos ecosystem is built on three main levels:

Transaction Layer: Responsible for fast, secure and confidential transfers of assets and data between different blockchains. This is the basis for interaction in the ecosystem.

Consensus Level: Manages the security and liquidity of the entire network. It allows you to connect third-party services for staking (betting), which increases overall reliability. This also includes working with popular "embedded" assets, such as stBTC or stETH, inside the decentralized finance (DeFi) Pharos.

Data layer: Provides a decentralized exchange and synchronization of information with external databases. This opens up opportunities for creating complex applications right on the blockchain, such as services with artificial intelligence (AI) or enhanced privacy (FHE).

Pharos Modular Tools

Pharos provides a set of ready-made modular solutions to support its core network and additional layers (L2/L3). Each such module is an open source tool. Partners and developers are free to use, customize, and refine these tools to suit their needs.

Note: The first performance tests of these solutions have already been successfully conducted. Further development of the Web3 infrastructure will be achieved through collaboration with other ecosystem participants.

Restaking support

Pharos easily interacts with major restaking protocols such as Babylon and Eigenlayer, which increases the security and liquidity of the network. This works by supporting multiple asset types.

In the future, we will add integration with other protocols. This will make the ecosystem even broader, more convenient and safer for everyone.

The Pharos Consensus

The Pharos consensus protocol is designed for high speed and minimal delays. It is designed for powerful nodes in international networks, which makes the entire system more reliable and safer.

This protocol has two main objectives:

Speed: Data processing in the system is limited only by the actual Internet speed, without unnecessary artificial pauses or waits.

Efficiency: All network participants must work together and at the same time to make full use of its capabilities.

But many existing blockchain systems have problems with these tasks, which is why they scale poorly.

First, some blockchains create new data blocks at strictly defined time intervals. Because of this, there is a hard speed limit, no matter how well the network is configured.

Secondly, in the most common communication model, one participant (the proponent) sends data to everyone, and the rest simply vote "for" or "against." This provider becomes a "bottleneck": the more participants there are in the network, the greater the load on it, and the overall performance decreases. Although in fact, the more participants there are, the greater the total network capacity. If you involve everyone, you can create a truly scalable system.

To achieve this, the Pharos protocol uses two key innovations.:

It does not use fixed time intervals. Blocks are created as fast as the real network allows, without unnecessary expectations.

All network participants can offer blocks at the same time, rather than depending on one "main" one. This removes the "bottleneck".

These two principles significantly enhance the scalability and overall throughput of the Pharos system. In addition, the protocol is flexible: participants can propose and complete blocks with different frequencies, depending on their workload and the quality of communication. For example, a slow or remote node can work less frequently, without fear that its work will be "flooded" by others.

On a global test network of 100 nodes, the Pharos prototype showed a processing speed of more than 130,000 transactions per second.

From all of the above, we can say that Pharos has upgraded some technologies from other blockchains, which are aimed at better results and better interaction between the DAPP and the user. This will undoubtedly give an impetus to the development of the crypto industry as a whole.
