Up in the air
floating in what seems like endless  uncertainty
Emotions swirl like clouds,
each one a different shade,
a different weight.

I’m aware of the unease,
a tightness in my chest,
a flutter in my stomach.

My thoughts race,
fears of where I might land,
if I will land at all.

Vacillating between doubt and hope,
my constant companions on this journey.

I descend through the wind,
It carries me through,
each gust a reminder
that I am no longer where I used to be and don’t know where I’m going.

No map, no guide,
just an inner knowing,
A oneness,
a feeling that this is right,

The journey,
with its twists and heights,
has brought me here,
to this moment of clarity.

With open arms,
I embrace the unknown,
a new beginning unfolding.

The ground approaches,
into an unknown place where dreams take shape.

Where will we land?
I don’t know—
Will it be better than before?
I don’t know—
Will it answer all my questions and fulfill every longing?
I don’t know—

The don’t knows that once threatened to rob me of this adventure, now propel me with deep curiosity into the mystery before me.

I don’t know where my feet will land,
But I lean into the wisdom of my body
As she expertly carries me forward.

She survived the journey that has brought me this far and will continue, in her brilliance, to survive
to lead
to teach
to show
to feel
to guide.

Naming each pain,
each shame
each joy
each regret
each loss
each doubt
each hope
she generously carries.

I invite them in,
feeling them fully,
I partner with her, hand in hand.

It is here in the depths of love
I find my belonging
I find my way
I find my voice

I still don’t know where we will land—
But it is here, in this place of love I know more than ever —
together we will stand.
