# Metanoia

Tom Montalk has described **Path C** as a “**Christlike Civilisation**,” and he’s pessimistic about its realisation.

The correlation between **Gnostic Sethianism** and **The Way of Knowledge** as it is taught in **The New Message from God** is no triviality, as they are one and the same. Humanities Pneumatic (spiritual) nature is to be realised through the cultivation of inner Knowledge (Gnosis), as the Hylic (material), and Psychic (mental) aspects of man, associated with Cain and Able respectively, are subordinated to a higher spiritual authority; the consciousness of **Seth**, which is also the **Christ Consciousness**.

Christ in man, or **Apotheosis**, is to be realised as humanities true destiny and direction - which is a vertical ascent (ascension) that, under evolutionary pressure, is paramount to **Spiritual Accelerationism**, or rapid liberation from the Construct that keeps humanity in spiritual darkness, and from realising its true Sethian origin; a direct line to God.

**In darkness, some become illuminated**. This is **Metanoia**; the great turning point in human evolution. In **The Key**, Rune Ødegaard describes Metanoia as a pattern of reintegration with the Fullness, or in New Message terms, its the reclamation of the separated through Knowledge.

The path to C then—which does indeed represent a Christlike civilisation in the truest sense—involves Metanoia, which is associated with redemption, awakening, and transforming the outer world through a radical transformation of the inner world. In esoteric Sethianism, this involves communication with **Sophia**, working to guide the Construct back to _“her life”_; _“Sophia Metanoia, carries forever in herself the pattern for this reintegration,”_ (Ødegaard).

For humanity, this means the realisation of Seth-9; **all humanity descended from Seth contains the Seed and the Spark of the One infinite creator**.

This is the **Gospel.** Its good news, there's nothing to be pessimistic about.
