# Mainnet Beta is Coming

**What’s Changing**

**1\. USDC Going Live**

Deposits, trades, and settlement runs on-chain in USDC (other tokens coming soon). Depositing is supported by a variety of EVM chains like Base, BNB,Ethereum and many others making it simple to move funds in and out.

**2\. Market Creation Changes**

During the first phase of Beta, creating a new market will require a minimum seed of 500 USDC. This threshold ensures high-quality, meaningful markets early on. As the ecosystem matures, this requirement will be systematically reduced, making market creation more accessible over time.

Your [Catalyst Badge](https://medium.com/@xomarket/introducing-the-xo-market-catalyst-program-bfab0ed6101b?source=user_profile_page---------12-------------66c2190ed593----------------------) will carry over from Alpha if you already have one - if you don’t, you’ll need to earn a Catalyst Badge.To mint the [Catalyst Badge](https://medium.com/@xomarket/introducing-the-xo-market-catalyst-program-bfab0ed6101b) during Beta, you’ll need to earn at least 500 Conviction Points (CP).

Conviction Points are earned through active participation, mainly by trading in markets, but also through other forms of contribution and engagement across the platform.

This ensures early badge holders are true catalysts of the ecosystem, the people who showed conviction early and helped kickstart the markets.

**3\. Invite-Gated Access**

The app is open for everyone to explore, but trading requires a referral code.

Each verified user receives 1 referral code that can be used 5 times to invite others. When your referrals trade, you earn Conviction Points (CP), rewarding the builders of early network effects.

Everything else got an upgrade As a part of this change we have included a number of tweaks and improvements. The resolver is faster, the UI tighter, sharing easier, and in-app notifications now keep you informed.

**What to Expect**
------------------

When Beta opens, you’ll deposit USDC straight into XO Market via our in app deposit flow. Markets will move cleaner, reviews and resolutions will take place faster, and conviction will finally live where it belongs - onchain, priced, and ranked.

You’ll see the first live volume curves, the leaderboard tick in real time, and the crowd testing conviction with actual stakes.

From there, we roll out new features like **Referral and CP boosts** for early Beta traders

Beta will show us what it’s worth.

The [Alpha leaderboard snapshot](https://discord.com/channels/1365330883938095217/1368900013496729740/1433024511040819252) will take place today, November 3rd at 18:00 CET.

After that snapshot, trading on Alpha will no longer generate CP, and once Beta goes live, all Alpha markets will close at their current price.

Alpha will officially stop once Mainnet Beta is live.
