Farcaster is Silicon Valley 2.0I'm excited to announce the launch of StationX on Base. While there are many reasons why I'm excited, the main one is Farcaster. Since joining Farcaster, I've seen apps and services popping up at the network's edges. Venture capital has taken bets on conventional projects like Neynar, Airstack, Kiosk, and Agora, as well as unconventional ones like Degen and Wildcard. The /founders channel has 150K+ followers and is one of my favorites. Developer activity is soaring because of growing communities like the FBI. In Seedclub's recent demo day, projects like Ponder, Lisa, Unofficial, Sidequest, and Bracket showed the possible future of crypto consumer apps. All of this begs the question, what's next? The Based CollectiveThe Based Collective is a step in that direction. TBC is a permissionless syndicate on a mission to turn Farcaster into Silicon Valley 2.0. It is a new way for us, power users, to source projects in the Base and Farcaster ecosystems, invest capital into them early, and become their evangelists—like an open-sourced team. It is also a new way for startups to align incentives for power users to evangelize about their apps/services. Power users will use your products, chat about them, engage in channels, advocate for growth, offer feedback, and do other helpful things. Get started: The Based Collective for Power Users. 999 TBC Soulbound NFTs are available to mint for Power Badge holders. According to the latest snapshot, 4,172 power users can become members of The Based Collective, the first syndicate native to the Base and FC ecosystems. Initial deals and Phase 1 have 999 limited spots. Each member will have access to: The Based Collective's DealflowPerks on the /syndicates channel, TBC's group chats, dealroom, and events.The Collective's deals are accessible to its members, who can also source deals.
