# Guide on how to use Beamer Bridge

### How to we start our journey?

Before we start using the **Beamer Bridge**, we need to make sure that we have installed **Metamask wallet extension** (**Beamer Bridge** currently supports [**WalletConnect**](https://twitter.com/WalletConnect) and [**Metamask**](https://twitter.com/MetaMask)). In this Guide i will use **Metamask wallet extension**.  
_So if you have already installed_ **Metamask,** _you can skip these instructions down below._

To instal **Metamask wallet extension**, you need to click [**here**](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/metamask/nkbihfbeogaeaoehlefnkodbefgpgknn). Once you downloaded **Metamask,** we can create new wallet account **with creating “Difficult” password and rewriting 12 words seed phrase**. Here we go.

We also need to add **Optimism network** into our **Metamask to interact with Beamer Bridge**. Follow instructions down below 👇 👇 👇

\>In the networks tab of your **MetaMask** widget, select **“Add Network”** by clicking on it.

\>Input the following settings into the **Add a Network** page, then select **“Save”.**

> **Network Name:** Optimism
> 
> **New RPC URL:** [https://mainnet.optimism.io](https://mainnet.optimism.io/)
> 
> **Chain ID:** 10
> 
> **Currency Symbol:** ETH
> 
> **Block Explorer URL:** [https://optimistic.etherscan.io](https://optimistic.etherscan.io/)

**You have successfully added the Optimism Network to your settings.**

\>Now we gonna move to **Beamer Bridge’s dApp** by clicking [**“HERE”**](https://app.beamerbridge.com/#/?activeTabLabel=Transfer)**, scroll a little bit down and once the “Connect Wallet”’s button appears on the screen, please click on it.**

\>Right after that, you will see popping window with the supported wallets. Choose the wallet **you gonna use and click on it to connect** (I will use **Metamask**).

\>Once you **connected** your **Metamask,** you will be able to **green light (_means, that you are currently connected_**). **\>Then we gonna choose the Chain by clicking on “Target Rollup”, from where we gonna bridge our assets** _(i picked_ Optimism chain).

\>Then we have to choose the asset we want to send by clicking on “**Token**” (**Beamer Bridge currently supports only USDC**), and input amount of tokens your are planning to transfer. >Then we gonna choose the chain we to receive our funds. You gonna click on **“Source Rollup”,** and **choose the right Chain** (i picked **Arbitrum**). >You will complete your Bridge, once you click on **“Transfer Funds” ‘s button and confirm you transaction via** **Metamask.** Right after that, you can detect 5-8 seconds (_that was mine approximate transaction time)_, and go and check your arrived USDC.

> Notice: **Beamer Bridge supports only USDC** at the time of writing this article, Team’s planning to add more tokens in a recent future.

\>You can check all your **transactions**, that you proceeded by clicking on “**Activity**” widget.
