# Opening the Next Chapter: Finaverse

With unprecedented times, we needed to zoom out and take a look at the whole picture:

**“What is our goal? What is our vision? What are we trying to solve? Are we bringing value to the Blockchain and gaming industry? What would the future look like? And are we on the right path?”\\**

We had a lot of discussions as the team members brought up different opinions and feedback. We know that balancing the easy-to-earn and fun-to-play is quite tricky and difficult. Moreover, the blockchain gaming industry is still in its infant stage, we are exploring, researching and finding the possibilities to make an innovative solution for players.

The ultimate answer that investors and the team asks is, “**How could FINA capture the value and be sustainable?”**

_The answer is to create an enjoyable game that players will continue to play regardless of external factors, a game that is innovative and fun. Without playability, a game won’t survive in the long-term._

Evaluating our gameplay and graphics, we are well ahead of other gamefi projects in the current market. However, we recognize we are not the best and the game playability still has a lot of room to grow. To ensure FINA stands out for the future competitive market where more and more game projects pivot from earn to playability, we will have to improve the current gameplay design and follow our vision to produce a fun game that introduces blockchain to vast players.

Finaverse Main Elements
=======================

In order to accomplish the above goal, we’ve identified a few critical elements the future gameplay should have and focus on.

**METAVERSE:** a real community where players can interact with other players and build and own a piece of the defina world.

**Game Roles:** everyone should be able to find a role in the Defina game to build the Finaverse together; either you are a landlord, a builder, a creator, an adventurer, a fighter, or a material producer.

**Low Entry Level:** the entry should also be open and lower so more players could join and try out the game.

**Social:** players should be able to interact with other players and join Guilds to build things together.

**Competitive Gameplay:** players should be able to challenge each other and have fun making the strategic build.

**Value Old Players while Welcoming New Players:** protect the value of the first edition NFT while lowering the entry barrier for new players for mass adoption to create Finaverse together.

Finaverse features, gameplay designs and development will follow the above main elements. **Important Note:** Designs are not fixed, we will share a concept map with the community in a few days. **Community members could post their ideas and suggestions to co-design the gameplay with the Defina Development Team on our** [**Discord**](https://discord.gg/Defina)**.**

The following are some sneak peek Finaverse Land concept ideas (more will be shared as we progress):

1.  There will be **private lands, guild lands, and public lands.**
    
2.  Players will be able to enter different game modes through the **public lands portals** (Battle Royale, PVP fights, Guild tournament, etc.)
    
3.  Private landowners could **construct buildings or co-found a building with other players.** The landowner could hire other players to speed up the construction. The landowner could collect fees from players who need to use their building. \[Store, Blacksmith Shop, Health Regeneration Station, etc.\]
    
4.  There will be scarce resources for buildings and weapons, and the **resources will be dropped from adventure modes and special events.**
