当地时间8月3日，美媒CNBC援引新加坡星展银行的研究报告称，随着通货膨胀加剧，新加坡的低收入者正面临最低的工资涨幅和最高的支出涨幅，低收入者与高收入者之间的差距将进一步扩大。这些低收入者大部分为老年人以及低技能工人。 星展银行方面向《国际金融报》表示，目前，劳动力短缺已经影响到当地劳动密集型产业。短期内，新加坡服务业、建筑业的复苏步伐将继续放缓。
