This update will contain an abundance of new information as well as recaps of items shared on recent AMAs. The developments on the traditional side of our enterprise are ongoing and progressing nicely. The excitement surrounding the Echo Key has only further bolstered our efforts on these fronts and opened even more doors. We are looking forward to our follow up AMA this coming Monday, Feb. 20th. After that, part of the team will be traveling to Los Angeles to meet with studio heads while others will be at the D.I.C.E Summit in Las Vegas meeting with the largest game developers, publishers and financiers in the industry. While we cannot always share the intricate details of the development process, we always strive to share as much as possible.New Team MembersWe will start these updates with some exciting news: please welcome NFTBoi and LTR to the Zero Point team! We are looking forward to working with this experienced duo as we continue to bring awareness to what Zero Point is building. Both NFTBoi and LTR have extensive backgrounds within the space as collab managers and strategic advisors. NFTBoi is the founder of TBDKitchen and Rainbow Alpha within the Doodles Discord and also serves as the Strategic Lead for Jeremy Fall’s Golden Egg Club. LTR is an outreach specialist currently working with CryptoGorilla, Golden Egg Club and ToyoCorp. They will be focused on bringing awareness to the Echo Key while also assisting in allocation for our future collections (yes, we are covering that in this update) with an approach geared toward selective curation. From our very first call, both NFTBoi and LTR have understood and shared in our vision of growing the Zero Point community carefully and methodically.Verudian ArtifactsWe debuted the Verudian Artifacts collection on February 13th by airdropping 10 Scepters of Xinnn to the first 10 Master Agents who burned their Echo Keys. On February 16th, we airdropped the first 3 Cipherous Stones to our newly anointed Lumaris (KVN, GamblingOwl and DJ Obleezy) who were successful in accomplishing the task of translating the tenets of the Watcher: VER VIGLLL – We are Watching TNBRS N TNBRS – Darkness within Darkness VERTS GENR VERTS – Truth begets Truth There will be more opportunities to join the ranks of the Lumaris, but they will be far and few between. Only 11 Cipherous Stones will ever exist. The Verudian Artifacts collection will continue to be expanded over time and will be comprised of various artifacts with varying utility that shall be granted to those who prove their devotion to the Order of the Watcher. The true utility of each artifact will be unveiled over time. While Verudian Artifacts will play a large role in our digital ecosystem, particularly upon the launch of the Echosis, select artifacts will directly influence the IRL experiences Zero Point has planned as well as unlock dedicated opportunities to impact the trajectory of the Echoverse.CommunityWe are thrilled to see the incredible community forming within the Hall of Echoes Discord. At this early stage of our Web3 presence, it is our priority to curate a strong, lasting community that will remain with us on our journey. Genuine interactions and connections between fellow Agents and between Agents and the team are what we wish to cultivate. From Verus’ first Writer’s Room AMA to Zoetic and DJ Obleezy putting on Midjourney masterclasses, we have enjoyed the early weeks of our community’s formation. As we look towards expanding the community, we will be opening one chat channel to non-holders. This will be going live in about a month and will not be fully public. Invites will be extremely limited and the majority will be given out during/after AMAs and other activations so as to ensure that only individuals with genuine interest in Zero Point’s vision are joining the community. We want to provide a place for potential members to interface with the community and the team and perhaps have their curiosities answered before making the leap to become an Agent themselves. The majority of our attention and efforts will remain on the Agents-only channels, but we are looking forward to opening the doors to the Hall of Echoes. We will also be introducing the first community-driven lore experience. The amount of creative energy we have attracted is astounding, and providing a targeted vehicle to channel that energy will be a great first experiment for the Echoverse.IP RightsWe have covered our plans regarding IP rights on multiple AMAs, below is a summary:Zero Point is not taking a blanket approach toward IP rights. Due to the vastness of the Echoverse, we will explore different IP rights for different characters and collections.Commercial rights for holders have a strong place in what we are building but they can also be extremely limiting to companies actively building their own IP. Many of the partners required for mainstream distribution are not keen to pledge the necessary resources to bring a new IP to market in the face of uncertainty and insecurity surrounding IP ownership. That said, many characters in the Echoverse will provide opportunities for holder’s to explore their own creative and business goals, at times with Zero Point’s support.CC0 is not an approach we intend to explore too deeply. While we have a lot of respect for the role it has played with some Web3 IP, ultimately it is not aligned with our goals for the Echoverse.Each IP within the Echoverse lends itself to a different Web3 experience. A16Z and Truth Labs have highlighted a few possibilities that we have begun to delve into. Simultaneously, we are also exploring potential use cases not yet prominent in the industry.When it comes to PFP projects, or projects including a character in any way, we will make the IP rights known prior to minting.Ultimately, many iterations of IP rights within Web3 are currently vague and unproven and are often used as excuses by teams unable or unwilling to develop their IP themselves. We will find the balance between providing our holders opportunities to experience ownership and control parts of the IP without sacrificing our ability to maneuver in the ways that are necessary to bring IP of this scale to the masses.Nada of the SunIt is almost time to begin releasing more story for Nada of the Sun. The Watcher’s Temple website is your guide to the world of Nada, a world you may want to familiarize yourself with over the coming weeks, as knowledge is greatly rewarded. Next, we will begin sharing more of the linear story taking place between the Initiate, Seren and the House of Anunnaki. We are not rushing a PFP to market for this IP. We will begin a multi-month journey of introducing the space to the story, world and characters with some ownable assets leading up to an eventual PFP. There is a very intentional timeline for this project, as it correlates to the IRL development of the film. We suggest that everyone pay close attention to the story that is about to be told because it is a cipher for the entire Echoverse.Faces of the WatcherIn the darkness before the Word was the Void, an eternal place of nothingness and infinite possibility beyond Good, Evil and understanding. And then, a faceless voice spoke, and from its echo, all things came into being. Time was born, as were the Keepers of Time, an ancient order whose sole duty was to observe creation and all within it. They were called the Watchers. Loyal only to the One who first spoke, known throughout existence as the One Who Sees, the members of the Order of the Watcher hid their faces behind masks to strip themselves of their own will, their ego, and surrender to the will of the Watcher. This covenant was meant to ensure that what befell the Keepers of Creation with the fall of their most beloved Cherubim would never poison their own ranks. From that beginning, the Order has remained in the shadows, never revealing itself to those playing the game of life, yet always watching. Faces of the Watcher is our genesis PFP collection with a total supply of 1,111. The time has come to give Agents of the Watcher an identity that can be worn, while also slowly expanding the size of our current community. As you all may know by now, The Watcher is the unifying IP of the Echoverse, the ringmaster who is the central act of the circus yet directs and interacts with all other acts and performers. The Watcher and the Agents of the Order intersect all timelines, dimensions and stories within the Echoverse, actively influencing the characters and events therein. There is no better PFP to start this journey, and so we begin by giving a face to the faceless. With such a large catalogue of IP, we put a lot of thought into our plans to introduce so many worlds to a space that has been ravaged by over-diluted projects. While we need to maintain mystery and secrecy surrounding our exact roadmap, rest assured that we are not rushing a slurry of PFPs to the market. IP can be introduced in many different ways, even through fleeting, momentary experiences. While Zero Point will ultimately put decades of creative direction and character design experience behind this project, we want to begin with your input. This process is reserved only for Echo Key holders and we are opening a channel in Discord to allow for discussion surrounding art styles and design direction for the project.Master Echo Key holders will receive 12 free claims (as opposed to 7) and a guaranteed 1-of-1.NOTE: After the 25th Master Echo Key is created, a snapshot will be taken of the token IDs. These are the only Master Echo Keys that will qualify for the enhanced benefits on this drop. All Master Echo Keys created after the 25th will receive the standard benefits of 7 Echo Keys for this particular drop.Wallets holding both an Echo Key and a Scepter of Xinnn will receive a boost towards rare traits as well as a special trait on their PFP to represent their Agent’s unique abilities. Having a direct say in the process is one of the many benefits you can come to expect as an Echo Key holder. The world of the Order of the Watcher is much larger and more complex than anything imaginable, which makes it uniquely challenging when trying to introduce it to audiences in a comprehensive way. However, the roll-out of Faces of the Watcher provides the right storytelling opportunity for the community to continue the journey into the Watcher’s world. We will spend the next few weeks developing the direction and design of this collection alongside our artists and community before beginning its marketing campaign. The mint is months away and we will have ample time to continue growing a strong base of our core community within Discord.
