Lesson 1: Fear of Judgment

Let me tell you about the time I was terrified of what others would think of my content. It was 2015, and I was about to make a cross-country road trip from Michigan to Los Angeles. I had just started my YouTube channel and was documenting the whole process of moving, and then the entire cross-country journey that I made with my dog. But I was so insecure that I didn't post any of them. The constant thoughts of what everyone else might think, making this leap of faith, paralyzed me. Are YOU struggling with the same fear?

Here’s what I learned: Every successful personal brand faced the same fear. The key is to start sharing your authentic story. People connect with real experiences, not perfection. The more genuine and relatable you are, the more your audience will engage with you.

Lesson 2: Overcoming Procrastination

I realized I was avoiding key tasks like posting regularly and engaging with my audience. Maybe YOU are too. If so, here’s a trick that will save you hours:

Create a content calendar and batch your posts. This way, you stay consistent without feeling overwhelmed. Consistency is crucial in building a brand, and planning ahead can help you maintain it without the stress.

Finding my unique voice was challenging. I kept comparing myself to others, and maybe YOU do too. The breakthrough came when I stopped trying to mimic others and started sharing my authentic perspective.

Remember, your voice is your brand’s superpower. Embrace it! Your unique perspective is what sets you apart. Don’t be afraid to let your personality shine through your content.

Lesson 4: Building a Community

I thought building a community would be impossible without hundreds of thousands of followers. Are YOU thinking the same? Here’s the secret:

Start small but engage deeply. Respond to comments, join conversations, and offer value. Your community will grow organically and become your strongest supporters. A loyal, engaged community is more valuable than a large but passive following.

Lesson 5: Investing in Yourself

I was hesitant to invest time and money in learning and growth. It felt risky. But here’s the realization:

Investing in courses, coaching, and personal development gave me the tools and confidence to elevate my brand. So what is blockchain exactly? At its most basic level, blockchain is a digital ledger or record-keeping system that's used to store information. But what makes it special is that it's decentralized, meaning that no single person or organization controls it. Instead, everyone who uses it has a copy of the ledger and can verify the information on it.

To help you understand, think of it like a big notebook that everyone can write in. But instead of one person holding the notebook and deciding what goes in it, everyone has their own copy of the notebook, and every time someone writes something new in it, everyone else can see it and check that it's correct.

Now, let's talk about the "blocks" in blockchain. The information that's recorded on the blockchain is stored in blocks, which are linked together in a chain. Each block contains a set of transactions, like when you buy something online and the payment is processed. Once a block is filled with transactions, it's added to the chain, and a new block is created to record the next set of transactions.

But how is the information in each block verified and kept secure? That's where something called "cryptography" comes in. Essentially, the information in each block is encrypted, which means it's scrambled in a way that only someone with a special key can unscramble it. This helps to keep the information secure and ensure that no one can tamper with it.

So why is blockchain so important? Because it has the potential to make transactions and record-keeping more secure, transparent, and efficient. It's already being used in things like cryptocurrencies (like Bitcoin), voting systems, and supply chain management.

By providing an immutable and transparent record of each step in the production and distribution process, blockchain could revolutionize supply chain management. This would allow companies to trace the origin of their products and ensure that they are ethically and sustainably sourced.

In the healthcare industry, blockchain could be used to securely store and share patient medical records, ensuring that sensitive information is kept private and secure. This would also allow for more efficient and accurate transfer of medical data between doctors and hospitals.

Blockchain technology can also be applied to real estate, by providing a secure and transparent way to track property ownership and transfer of ownership. This would make the process of buying and selling property more efficient and reduce the potential for fraud.

Overall, the potential uses for blockchain technology are vast and varied, and as the technology continues to evolve, we can expect to see even more innovative applications emerge.

Vizmesh, the blockchain-based platform behind GUERILLA GALLERY, is a revolutionary NFT art gallery and curation platform that is owned and curated in a decentralized manner. Each unit of Vizmesh is denominated in Vizmesh Frames (FRM), which are limited in supply and can display a single NFT.

What's unique about FRMs is that their owners can configure them to display any NFT as many times as they want. This means that FRM owners have complete control over the NFTs that they display and can easily switch out their NFTs to showcase new works. GUERILLA GALLERY has garnered support from a diverse group of collaborators, including the 50mm Collective, an organization that has curated previous exhibitions in collaboration with Vizmesh, including BLOCKCHAIN BLOCK PARTY and TEMPORAL VISION.

For this exhibition, 50mm Collective will be exhibiting 13 total pieces using Vizmesh’s FRMs. Lead curator for the 50mm Collective, Chelsea Quintela, will be curating 11 pieces from their 2022 Meta Masquerade Collection, which debuted last November. The collection highlighted 80 different artists from all over the world via their virtual art gallery. The Meta Masquerade Collection was also displayed in person at Quantum Art Gallery in Santa Monica and during the annual gala event, Downtown Los Angeles.

In addition to those 11 pieces, the 50mm Collective is currently raffling 2 spots in the exhibition to BIPOC & LGBTQIA identifying artists. The raffle went live this morning via their Twitter account. The 2 winners will be randomly selected and announced via Twitter on April 1st.
