There is no blueprint, as every child is different, and every parent is different. Our parents likely tried very hard but also likely made many mistakes. Our children will also likely think this of us. So, are there 'universal principles' than can guide us? Non-aggression. Will historically the 'easiest' way to 'discipline' a child, the results do not necessary reflect its efficacy. Unconditional love. Something that will create a bond that lasts a lifetime. Positivity. You are a parent and therefore tremendously blessed beyond belief. You must always find a way to frame this positively. Wealth. On your death bed, the Rolex, car, big house, they don't matter. Being surrounded by people who love you will matter. Iron Mind. Do not let children break you. You are the leader, the rock, the eternal source of protection and strength.
