Over the past 13 years, Yang Runchang has designed many greening modeling works, which have attracted peers to visit and study, but few people can copy them.

In the outdoor greening plot in the office area of Luqiao group, Yang Runchang has designed vases, teapots, teacups and other modeling works, and cut out a tea culture park. On the road green belt, he has designed the sports modeling of characters, such as playing basketball, football and wrestling, as well as the modeling of Chinese characters, such as “never give up and create brilliance”. At the bridge head of Haicang Bridge and on the green belt near Daping mountain, he also designed the shapes of eagle, egret and dragon.

Don’t underestimate the shape of the dragon. Yang Runchang spent four years on it. At first, the company just wanted to make a “dragon” two or three meters long, but Yang Runchang’s finished product was fifty or sixty meters long, which was particularly atmospheric. He said that plant growth takes time, and later pruning takes more time, so it takes a long time. The plants selected are also exquisite. Yellow heart plum and purple triangle plum are often used. They have dense branches, grow fast and can be trimmed.

From 2005 to 2008, Yang Runchang designed two “Dragons”. From 2011 to 2015, he added two “Dragons” and “double dragons playing with beads”. At that time, when Yang Runchang looked at the formed “double dragons playing with beads”, he always felt that there was something missing. Later, he found that there was no “finishing touch”. So he picked up white foam and black rubber, and processed them into “dragon” eyes.

When some greening units saw the image of Yang Runchang’s “dragon”, they came to learn from it. Unexpectedly, they found it difficult to do it. The “dragon” became a “snake”.

During his 13 years in Xiamen, his wife and children only came twice

In the eyes of outsiders, it’s too boring to deal with plants that can’t speak and repeat the same pruning process every day. Yang Runchang doesn’t think so. He just wants to do things well. He said that treating works is like treating children. When modeling, a sense of achievement will arise spontaneously.

Yang Runchang works alone in Xiamen, and his wife and children have always been in his hometown in Jiangxi. He said that there were three children at home. Considering that it was inconvenient for children to go to school and the living expenses were relatively high, they didn’t pick them up. In the past 13 years, his wife and children have only come to Xiamen twice.

“They all said that Xiamen was beautiful and the streets were clean.
