What is it

Meta launched its new AI model, Llama 3, on April 18, 2024. It was the company's most capable openly available LLM to date.

Meta says it has amazing knowledge and capabilities that can outperform some of the best AI models, such as Gemini 1.5, Claude 3 Sonnet, and Mistral. I'll talk more about the comparison later.

First, I will discuss what it is, what technology they have used, and what it can do, reviewing and comparing it with Gemini and Claude.

So, Meta AI is like other AI chatbots like Gemini, Claude, and ChatGPT. It has the same chat box where you can type in natural language, and it will provide the answers.

I am not a tech person who understands complex terms, but I simplify them as much as possible so everyone can understand them.

The new Llama comes in two sizes, 8B and 70B parameters. These are the variables that the model learns and the training process to improve its performance and make better predictions.

Another significant change in Llama 3 is the new tokenizer that expands the vocabulary size to 128 256 from 32K tokens in Llama 2. This is also same for Gemini 1.5 Pro, which comes with a 128K token context window.

Llama 3 is pre-trained on over 15 trillion tokes collected from publicly available sources, seven times larger than Llama 2.

Real-time search results:

Meta AI can now do real-time searches from Google and Bing. Whenever you ask it something, it can browse the internet and give you the most accurate results.

Image generation and gifs

Meta AI has the new high-res image generation on the fly as you type. So, when you type, it will automatically create images.

Coding

Meta AI is also your coding campaign. It can help with Writing code, debugging, explaining, supporting,g and providing examples with almost every Coding language.

Conversation

Meta AI can help you with conversations like writing a letter to your boss, asking about the best books to read, and discussing ChatGPT and other AI models.

I have used the Meta AI for almost one full day, and here is my review. I have categorized it into a few sections.

Searching the internet

I have asked a few questions about Meta AI and will see how accurately it surfs the internet and answers the quires.

I have asked a simple question, "What are the best time management apps for students for managing class schedule assignments and entertainment?" and here is the answer it has been given.

Meta AI answer

It has done a pretty job here.

Let me ask some complicated questions, like " Latest update of Boston humanoid robot." Here is the answer, and I have also made a small follow-up question.

It has done great work for it, too. But the answer it gave was short but accurate.

Conversations

So, here, conversations mean asking some creative questions or personal questions. I have requested Meta AI only if I want to start a conversation with you and how to get started. It says to ask me questions about hobbies and more.

I started asking some personalized questions about hobbies and gave some excellent answers; later, I made some follow-up questions that were answered well.

The problem is that it gave short answers unless I asked for long answers, but anyway, it worked well,d and the recommendations it made were also good.

Assignments

I am an engineering management student with some mathematical questions. Let's ask Meta AI to see how accurate the answers are.

To my surprise, it gave the correct answers to both questions. This was my first attempt, and it was also my first time trying other chats.

Let me ask some creative questions from my Class. I had a final project, and it was fuc* big and complex, with many calculations Let'sLet'ss compare how Meta AI and ChatGPT can do that.

I have previously done that project from ChatGPT 4 and am now trying it with Meta AI.

As Meta AI doesn't support file uploads, I need to copy the text from the project guidelines and ask the questions.

This is the ChatGPT answer. It has done a pretty decent job, but when it comes to calculations, ChatGPT 4 has struggled a lot. I copy the answers into Perplexity and get the calculations.

Here is a quick video of Meta AI. You can pause it and read it if you like. As I said earlier, if we don't ask Meta AI to provide long answers, it gives short ones, but as this was my presentation, I was fine. Meta AI has done the best job so far compared to ChatGPT. It has given detailed calculations for the project, as shown in the video. I like it.

Which one is better? ChatGPT has an advantage when it comes to long text content. With GPT 4, I could upload files, but it could have been more helpful when it came to calculations; it left me.

While Meta couldn't access any files, it wasn't easy to give instructions. Still, when it comes to overall responses, they were much better and more concise.

Email Writing

Any chatbot can do email writing, but what I am trying here is sending cold emails.

I will give any company name and founder name. And I will ask to write an email for the company.

I like Meta AI email. It remembers the founder's name and has also created niches for students, teams, and others—even me—without mentioning that it's pretty good. I have also tried it with another company, which has done the same.

Image generation

Meta AI surely has a big advantage over image generation. Meta AI can create high-res images on the fly as I type. Here, the prompt for image generation was "Imagine."

Which one do you like?

Regarding the final output,t I think ChatGPT did a fantastic job. Meanwhile, the Meta AI fly-as-you type has also been imposing.

Article Writing

I asked Meta AI and ChatGPT 4 to write a blog for todoist. I have not given either AI model any features, target audience, or other personalizations to work on.

Here are the articles from both.

Meta AI has written the article beautifully. It has given the title ideas and even a better structure. When finally writing a blog, Meta AI has researched the internet and given better blogs. When you see the conclusion, it has made three stories of its own for blog copywriting.

Whereas ChatGPT 4 has provided the types of content, it needs help sharing the title ideas. In the end, ChatGPT could have done better copywriting to generate leads.

Meta AI has done a great job. Regarding AI detection, ChatGPT and Meta AI have been identified 100% as AI-written text.

Meta AI has given me some better ideas for my blog than ChatGPT, which has given generic ideas.

Meta AI is performing better than expected overall. As it was the third version of the Meta AI, I didn't expect that.

I can now use Meta as an AI option. I have previously tried Gemini, which could be better; even I have been using the Gemini Advance version (pro version).

While Meta AI is not yet perfect or a game changer like never seen before, as Mark Zuckerberg said, it will provide good competition for other AI chats.

Tesla – More Than Just Cars

Tesla isn’t just an electric car manufacturer. The cars are collecting massive amounts of driving data from owners. Musk has hinted Tesla is also a stealth robotics and artificial intelligence company. Some analysts believe Tesla cars will eventually evolve into self-driving data centres on wheels, continuously uploading details on where millions of people travel.

Tesla’s trove of real-world driving data could allow it to surpass competitors in mastering autonomous vehicle technology. While this could benefit society, it also raises concerns about who will control and profit from the coming self-driving taxi market.

But Twitter’s true value to Musk is the real-time insights it provides into the collective consciousness – our likes, conversations, outrage, fears, and hopes. This bird’s-eye view can train more manipulative AI models and influence narratives.

Musk is also paying some Twitter users to post more content. While this supports creators, it generates even more data to feed his AI research efforts.** According to some reports, large language models like ChatGPT, Bard and the one Musk is developing are already trained on Twitter data. Now he can prime the pump.**

Recently, Elon imposed a read limit on Twitter, preventing other LLMs from using Twitter data. This is also a concern.

This ownership of the platform behind much of today’s discourse is concerning. Musk can also use Twitter to move markets, spread misinformation, and attack critics – now he controls the entire ecosystem.

The Big Picture – Too Much Power for One Man?

Individually, each of Musk’s companies drives innovation in its field. But together they feed an unprecedented consolidation of control over our physical movements, online activity, private thoughts, and public conversations. With his new AI research division, these massive data streams could produce models that manipulate humanity in ways we can’t foresee.

Musk himself compares AI risk to “summoning the demon.” But what happens if one man attempts to control the metaphorical technological demon? While Musk criticizes Meta’s concentrated power, he is accumulating more access to our lives than any technology magnate in history.

Left unchecked, Musk could gain an unrivaled ability to shape our behaviors, choices, and ideologies en masse. Even if Musk has good intentions, humans are flawed. We must consider checks on any individual having such vast influence over the course of civilization.

Moving Forward Responsibly

Elon Musk’s talents are impressive. But humanity’s future cannot rest in the hands of one person. The prudent path is to distribute control of these technologies so no single entity wields unchecked power. Independent oversight, ethical guidelines, and diverse viewpoints can steer innovation toward the common good.

With openness, wisdom, and democratic principles, we can progress rapidly while still putting humanity first. Technological marvels are within reach, but attaining them sustainably requires recognizing the limits and frailties we all share as human beings.

Interpreting Images Better than Humans

One of ChatGPT's most futuristic and practical abilities is understanding images and answering detailed questions about them. Now Bing Chat matches and even exceeds this skill.

Upload any image or provide a link, and Bing will examine it to comprehend the contents. Ask it about people, objects, text, colors, layouts, aesthetics, implied meaning, and more. The detail and insightfulness of its responses are remarkable.

Give it a photo of a street scene and ask "What year does this appear to be from based on the vehicles and architecture?" or "What is happening in this photo?" It's shocking how situational and context-aware its answers can be.

There is an AI tool available that enables you to upload multiple documents and gives answers. This cannot be done on ChatGPT, Bard, or even Bing Chat. Read this post for further information regarding the AI tool.

Generating Code from Images

But Bing takes visual comprehension even further. It can now generate code just by looking at an image of an interface or design.

Simply send it a screenshot of a webpage, app screen or other UI. Ask it to reproduce the layout in HTML and CSS, or in another coding language. Bing will identify all the visual components present and output remarkably accurate code to recreate a similar-looking result.

This makes mocking up or prototyping basic interfaces as easy as taking a screenshot, without needing to manually write any of the underlying code.

• The first thing everyone see is that the UI/UX is not good. It feels very slow and buggy.

• I particularly see many bots or spam accounts.

• Not many active users. I understand that as this was a new app, it takes some time to get active users.

• DeSo was new and the ecosystem was small. This will not be a concern for many people, but from a developer perspective or investment perspective, if I buy some ETH, I can use them in all the Ethereum blockchain applications, and their ecosystem was big. But DeSo was small, and the use case of buying DeSo was not more than just using it in Diamond and a few applications.

Should you need to move from Twitter to Diamond.

No, you can use both. So, this was the option where you needed to choose only one. Here, you have the option to choose multiple. You can try all of these apps and decide which one is best for your needs and where you can get more scalability.

Meta has launched their own AI-powered music generator called MusicGen and made it open-source, unlike Google MusicLM. It's pretty cool because MusicGen was trained on 20,000 hours of music, including 10,000 "high-quality" licensed music tracks and 390,000 instrument-only tracks from Shutterstock and Pond5, which is like a huge library of media.

Right now, you can find MusicGen on Hugging Face and it's got two options to choose from for generating music.

Option 1: Text-to-Music

Just describe what kind of song you want in the box, and it'll generate the music for you. For example, I asked for Indian Hip Hop beats using Guitar and Flute.

Option 2: Melody-Based

With this option, you add the melody you want and use a description to give the prompt on how to make the music. For instance, I gave a simple melody of Drake's 21 Savage and added the instruction to make it Indian Hip Hop using the guitar.

Right now, Hugging Face is only generating 15-second videos, but the music is already pretty good. However, MusicGen is still in stage 1 and has only been developing for 6 months, so it may not be a big deal for professional musicians yet.Who knows, though? It may change the game in future iterations.

Today, I'm gonna show you how to make some seriously cool artistic QR codes that'll get your audience talking!

Steps to follow

• Visit Quick QR and paste the URL link that you want to generate the QR Code.

• Below the URL choose the options that you wish and customize the QR code.

• Once you have done, download the QR-Code in the png format

• Now click on Join Beta Now and it will direct to the Discord server

• Log in to your discord and verify the Quick QR server

• Go to the paste-bin section in the server and upload the QR code that you downloaded in step 3.

• Once you had uploaded, select the QR code and copy the image URL

• In the servers select any server and generate a prompt using /generate.

• Paste the URL that you copied and in the prompt select the type of QR code required( like Cat, house, computer)

• Once you submit the request it will generate one QR code and you can try it before pasting it anywhere.

As most of the QR codes will not work because of the color contrast, so try before using it.

I created more than 4 QR codes before getting the output for the URL.

Nowadays, quick and easy have become the biggest scam on the internet. Whenever you open YouTube or Google and search for any how-to's on hustling or making money, the most recommended videos are "How to Get XXXX in 30 Days" or "How to Get XXXX in 60 Days."

Recently, I started a digital marketing agency and was searching for how to write cold emails. I forcefully recommended titles like "How to get 120% reply rate for your emails," "How to get your first client within 30 days," and more like that.

Like most of you, I also followed these techniques for the next 30 days, but to date, I haven't gotten any clients, even though my skills are far better than those half-baked influencers.

And one more trend was "If I started again, I would do these things to get XXX followers, or XXX clients, XXX Money."

Firstly, if they have achieved those results, then good, but saying these bullshit talks was not encouraging. Maybe they have worked hard, and I saw a comment to one of the tweets for a famous productivity YouTuber (I don't want to say his name). He tweeted something like this, "If I would like to start a YouTube channel again, these are the 14 things I would do to get my first million subscribers in the next 6 months." And one person replied, "OK, create a new YouTube channel and show the proof."

To get successful, there are many factors included, not just hard work, skills, and consistency. Even luck and time matter. When they started the YouTube channel 5 years ago, that was not a career option, and there was less competition. Now, each home has one YouTuber who stands out from all of them and gets a million subscribers in the big tasks (not for all niches).

Maybe this was my frustration from these things and I feel that was true I am not saying everyone gets the same results as me that is "ZERO". But the average will be the same.

REMOVE Quick, Fast, Easy, and similar words from your dictionary. Nothing is easy in this world may be Only Fans.

If you think building a business in 30 days or 60 days then why all the 8 Billion population can do the same and earn money? Just a simple question.

Again don't also fall into traps from this MLM scam. (Multilevel Marketing) where some influencers say buy my course and you can earn $10,000 per month. Just ask this simple question again "If making $10,000 a month was simple then why 8 billion population can't do the same".
