So I thought: why not finally give it a go and see what I can make?

At first? An absolute nightmare.

Nothing would install properly. Visual assets for a basic demo scene? Broken. Either the Unity version was too new for the package, or the shaders didn’t render, or I was drowning in cryptic scripts I couldn’t make sense of. Total overload 🧠💥.

I’ve always been curious about how tech works — I’ve got some web dev experience — but this felt like too much. Not even ChatGPT could save me 🤖💔.

Still, I kept coming back. Again and again. Hours of tutorials, trial and error, debugging with AI… and finally, I found a simple asset pack: first-person controller, a capsule as a player, and I could finally start interacting with something.

Then came audio — and of course, nothing worked again… Turns out, understanding 3D space in Unity is essential to making sound behave properly. Slowly, painfully, I started integrating my own audio. I learned about AudioSources, 3D settings, spatial blend… and eventually Atmoky for true spatial rendering.

And now? My sounds play. They're placed in space. I’m building my very first interactive audio demo. It’s rough, but it’s mine — and it’s a start.

More to come 🚀

If you’re working on similar stuff in audio / Unity / VR, I’d love to connect or chat — feel free to reach out!
