NFL Survivor is simple. Every week, each entry picks one NFL team to win. You can only use each team once. Pick a favorite now and you won’t have them later. Save them and you may get knocked out before you ever use them.

If your pick doesn’t win, your entry is out. If one entry is left, it takes the pot. If multiple entries remain when the contest ends, they split it.

How The Prize Pool Moves

Over the course of the NFL season, the full prize pool moves into different onchain assets based on player votes.

Every surviving entry gets a market vote alongside its NFL pick. Each week, the app presents four onchain spot trades across Base markets. The option with the most votes wins and the entire prize pool moves into that position for the next week.

Supported Assets

World Cup Bracket

World Cup Bracket is the full knockout path. Pick every matchup before the contest starts, from the Round of 32 through the Final.

Scoring gets bigger as the tournament gets deeper. Round of 32 picks are worth 1 point. Round of 16 picks are worth 2. Quarterfinals are worth 4. Semifinals are worth 8. The Final is worth 16.

Highest score takes the pot. If multiple entries tie for first, they split it.

World Cup Survivor

World Cup Survivor is about staying alive through the knockout stage. Pick teams to advance. Do not reuse teams. In Survivor, the last entries standing get paid.

In the Round of 32 and Round of 16, each entry makes two picks and both teams need to advance. From the Quarterfinals on, each entry makes one pick per round.

You cannot reuse the same team with the same entry. If you pick Brazil in the Round of 32, that entry cannot use Brazil again later. That makes every round a decision. Take the obvious team now, or save them for later.

If your pick does not advance, your entry is eliminated. If you survive to the end, you split the prize pool with the other surviving entries.

Results settle through UMA, and picks are graded by which team advances.

How The Prize Pool Moves

How It Works

The Ticket

You enter a contest with USDC on Base. When you enter, you receive an onchain ticket, the entry NFT that represents your position in the contest.

That ticket gives you the right to make picks, cast prize pool votes, and claim your share of the prize pool if the entry wins. It can also be transferred, which means someone can buy your ticket mid-contest. If you are one of five entries left and the prize pool has grown, that ticket can be worth way more than you paid for it.

The Prize Pool Vote

Survivor, Bracket, Pick’em, whatever comes next. The sports format can change. The money game stays the same.

You make a sports selection and you cast a prize pool vote. The sports pick decides your position in the contest. The prize pool vote decides where the shared treasury moves next.

Each round, players are presented with four onchain strategies. Every entry gets one vote. The option with the most votes wins and the prize pool moves there for the next round.

The Onchain Treasury

Bald Sports runs on Base. Entries are in USDC. The prize pool sits in an onchain treasury and moves based on the winning prize pool vote.

Bald Sports is built for a prize pool that can move across the onchain economy. Today that starts with swaps. Over time that can expand into yield, tokenized assets, leverage, and the next wave of DeFi.

Players vote on risk and the system handles execution. The prize pool gets a new vote every round.

The Onchain Record

The money trail is onchain. Entries, treasury moves, and claims all settle where players can verify them.

Picks and prize pool votes are signed offchain during the open window before a round begins. Before the window locks, the system posts a batch commitment onchain. That commitment does not reveal everyone’s picks and votes. It freezes the set of selections and lets the later published batch be checked against the earlier commitment.

After lock, the signed picks and votes are published to the GameController, the onchain contract that records picks, counts votes, and keeps the contest state. Other players cannot see your picks before lock, and live prize pool votes are not exposed publicly for people to trade ahead of the treasury move.

This is not a full commit-reveal system yet. In v1, staged picks and votes are private from other players before publication, while the operator still stages and publishes the batch. Future versions will harden this further with commit-reveal, encrypted commitments, TEE or VDF designs, and permissionless publishing.

The Oracle

Sports results settle through UMA. Results are proposed to UMA, monitored during the liveness window, and finalized through the oracle process.

If a data source is wrong, incomplete, or disputed, the result does not silently become final. The assertion can be challenged. Evidence can be checked. Our operators monitor the process so incorrect outcomes can be disputed before they affect scoring, eliminations, or payouts.

The Claim

When the contest ends, winners are determined by the format. In Survivor, remaining live entries split the prize pool. In Bracket, the highest score wins. If multiple entries tie for first, they split the pot.

Before claims go live, the prize pool has to be swapped into USDC. Then the payout root is posted onchain, and eligible winners claim directly to their wallet.

What Players Should Know

This is not passive income. The prize pool can go up, and it can also go down.

You are never on the hook for more than your entry, but the shared pot takes real risk based on the group vote. Some rounds may stay in USDC. Some rounds may move into risk. Some rounds may make everyone stare at the prize pool harder than the match.

That is the point. The prize pool is no longer dead weight. It is part of the game.
