How does it work?

There are three core components of Based Management:

1️⃣ Based Management Drops

Drops are a curated set of NFTs created by a variety of artists. These drops are creating a “cultural cannon” for the Base network and serve as a library of high quality templates and visuals that others can remix. The drops are minted as “free” NFTs on the Zora platform. The artists are paid directly and 100% of the protocol rewards go to the Based Management One treasury. 2️⃣ Mint Platform

The mint platform is currently under development and will allow for anyone to start earning ETH by creating their own mints. Creators can utilize the visual assets from the Based MGMT drops, simplifying the creation process and providing unified visual assets and themes across all remixes. This will first launch with the Source app by Titles. The majority of ETH from mints will be distributed to the creators, but a portion will also go to the Based Management One treasury.

3️⃣ Based Management One (a.k.a Treasury)

Based Management One is launching today as the first treasury in the Based Management ecosystem. The treasury is managed by holders of the Based Manager NFT. You can receive this membership by either winning one of the ongoing 7 day auctions or by being granted one for your contributions to Based MGMT.

The treasury gets revenue from drops, the remixing platform, and auctions. It’s called “Based Management One” because we foresee this only being the first of multiple treasuries that will form over time. Alternate treasuries can experiment with different revenue sources, durations, legal entities, distribution mechanisms, and focuses.

The Based Management One treasury is created as a Wyoming Unincorporated Non-Profit and exists to fund culture and infrastructure on Base. The goal of treasury funding is to kickstart a flywheel effect whereby new drops give remixers cool assets to play with → remixers create new memes → new memes spread Base culture, onboard new people, and drive more revenue to the treasury 🔄
