Today, the Alpha Selini Vault is live.

It's Bedrock's first Yield Vault, and the first product under Bedrock 2.0 — our evolution from a multi-asset liquid staking protocol into an Intelligent Yield Engine for Bitcoin Capital.

The Architecture

Bedrock 2.0 is building a Yield Layer for Bitcoin Capital — a programmatic layer that takes BTC (held as uniBTC) and routes it across yield strategies sourced from real economic activity, not speculation.

The Yield Layer organizes around four strategy categories: 

• Delta-Neutral Quantitative (algorithmic market-neutral execution), 

• DeFi-Native Yield (DeFi protocol mechanics and liquidity provisioning), 

• Lending and Credit (institutional credit markets), and 

• Real-World Asset (tokenized real-world economic activity). Each strategy ships as its own structured vault.

The Alpha Selini Vault is the first — Bedrock's inaugural Delta-Neutral deployment.

Inside the Vault: Four Top-Tier Operators

The vault is the wrapper. The work happens across four layers, each handled by a top-tier player in its sector.

Bedrock is the orchestrator. uniBTC — the productive form of BTC capital in our ecosystem — is a 1:1 BTC representation that retains Bitcoin exposure while being usable across DeFi. The vault accepts uniBTC, aggregates it into a single managed underwriter position on Cap, and routes the yield back to depositors. Sizing, monitoring, rebalancing — all handled by the vault.

Selini Capital is the active strategy operator. Operating since 2021, Selini is one of the most credible algorithmic trading firms in crypto. As the vault's strategy operator, Selini deploys underwritten capital through three low-latency, market-neutral strategies: HFT market making (providing deep liquidity across major digital asset pairs and capturing the bid-ask spread with high-frequency precision), centralized exchange arbitrage (exploiting fleeting price discrepancies between major platforms), and DEX-CEX arbitrage (bridging liquidity gaps between decentralized protocols and centralized order books). Yield is generated regardless of BTC direction.

Cap is the institutional credit infrastructure the vault routes capital into. Bedrock is currently Cap's largest single underwriter, with $155.30M+ backing five vetted institutional borrowers — Susquehanna Crypto, Amber Group, Flowdesk, Portofino, and Selini Capital — at a 300.74% health factor. Cap doesn't run on speculation or token emissions; it runs on real institutional borrowing demand from teams whose business depends on repayment. Symbiotic is the collateral markets layer beneath Cap. The principle is simple: performance guarantees enforced through code, not counterparty trust. When commitments hold, yield flows. When they don't, slashing is automatic. No claims, no waiting, no trust assumptions.

Where the Yield Comes From

The vault's yield comes from a single source: Selini Capital's active execution of market-neutral strategies, funded through borrowing on Cap.

Selini draws USDC against Bedrock's underwriter position, deploys it across HFT market making, CEX arbitrage, and DEX-CEX arbitrage, and pays a premium back as interest. That premium becomes the vault's yield.

It's real economic activity, end to end. Strategies generate returns regardless of BTC direction. Cap enforces repayment. Symbiotic enforces the underlying capital commitment.

1.8% APY estimated for the current epoch. The number will move with market conditions and strategy performance. What won't change: the source is real, the path is transparent, and every commitment is enforced onchain.

What Depositors Actually Get

For depositors, the proposition is direct. uniBTC remains 1:1 BTC, so holding vault tokens doesn't change what you're long. Yield comes in at 1.8% APY estimated currently, generated regardless of BTC direction since strategies are market-neutral. Every commitment is auditable, every flow verifiable onchain.

Fees are set lower than market — 0% management fee, and a 5% performance fee on yield generated. For context, standard DeFi vaults charge 1-2% annual management fees plus 10-20% performance fees; curated platforms commonly land at 5-15% performance fee, with average total cost across DeFi vault products around 1.5%. Between epochs, no drag on principal. More of every dollar flows back to the depositor.

The vault runs on a 30-day epoch cycle with three phases. Each epoch opens with a 7-day pre-deposit window during which uniBTC holders deposit and receive vault receipt tokens at a 1:1 ratio — the only time deposits are accepted in the cycle. The window then closes, and capital is routed into Cap with Selini operating strategies uninterrupted. At the end of each epoch, a withdrawal window opens: depositors who want to exit, submit withdrawal requests by burning their receipt tokens, and after a brief cooling-down period, claim their uniBTC back. Depositors who don't withdraw roll automatically into the next epoch.

After each epoch, yield is calculated and distributed. Rewards are denominated in uniBTC, so depositors accumulate BTC over time.

Participating is simple: 

• hold uniBTC (or mint it from BTC via Bedrock), 

• deposit during the pre-deposit window, 

• earn yield over the epoch lock, and 

• at cycle's end, claim rewards in uniBTC or roll into the next epoch automatically.

What Comes Next

The Alpha Selini Vault is the first deployment of the Yield Layer. Three other strategy categories are in development — Lending and Credit, DeFi-Native Yield, and Real-World Asset. Each will ship as its own structured vault, Each will be delivered through structured vaults, sharing the same architecture discipline: top-tier operators at every layer, transparent interfaces, real economic yield sources, on-chain enforcement.

What "institutional-grade" actually means

Three things distinguish institutional credit yield:

1. Counterparty quality. Yield is paid by named, vetted institutions — not anonymous wallets. Bedrock's borrowers on Cap include some of the most established trading firms in crypto. Their reputational and economic incentives align with paying back capital. The counterparties are verifiable on-chain.

2. Collateralization and structural protection. Institutional credit markets are built on over-collateralization, automatic liquidation rules, and continuous risk monitoring. Bedrock's position on Cap currently sits at a health factor above 350% — meaning the collateral backing borrowed capital is more than three and a half times the loan exposure. This isn't a marketing claim. It's an on-chain property of the position.

3. Sustainable economic source. The yield is generated by real economic activity — institutions borrowing to pursue their strategies, paying interest for that capital. It's not subsidized by token emissions. It doesn't depend on point-system bootstrapping. Bedrock's underwriter position scales with the depth of the credit market, not with how many users are stacking points this quarter.

These three together — counterparty quality, collateralization, sustainable source — are what "institutional-grade" actually points to.

Why retail has been locked out

This kind of yield exists in TradFi and in institutional crypto, but it has rarely been accessible to retail. Not every BTCfi product can deliver it, either.

Bedrock has done that work. We're trusted by four named institutional borrowers as their counterparty. And we apply our own selection discipline — choosing which institutions, which strategies, and which credit structures to underwrite.

However, "VC dumping" happens when a team artificially props up a token price to provide exit liquidity. 

We are doing the exact opposite. By stepping back and letting the market organically reprice $BR, we are allowing a healthy transfer of tokens from passive early backers to active, high-conviction hodlers. We are ripping the band-aid off now so the market can build a real foundation without the shadow of this unlock hanging over it.

What is Chainlink Secure Mint?

Secure Mint is an advanced capability of Chainlink Proof of Reserve that enhances the minting process for wrapped and tokenized assets. It mitigates the risk of unbacked minting by embedding a verification check directly into the token’s smart contract.

When Bedrock mints new uniBTC, the system programmatically verifies that the total supply, including the amount being minted, is always less than or equal to the verified Bitcoin reserves reported by Proof of Reserve. If reserves fall short, the minting transaction is automatically reverted.

This logic closes the last gap between proof of reserves and proof of issuance, ensuring every minted token is cryptographically linked to verifiable collateral.

   Chainlink’s decentralized oracle networks (DONs) continuously monitor and publish Bedrock’s Bitcoin reserves on-chain. Anyone can verify in real time that the number of BTC held in custody matches or exceeds the total supply of uniBTC.

   Before any minting action occurs, the smart contract automatically checks reserve sufficiency using the on-chain Proof of Reserve feed. If reserves fall short, the mint transaction reverts.
