It remains a robust protocol that stands the test of time in ensuring interoperability of data systems over the internet. Our world today is hyperconnected; Man to Machine relationships and Man to Man relationships and cross connections across these networks of interactions continuously creates tons of data with each beat and bit. In the now and the after.

With interactions increasing over the internet, HTTP has remained quite robust as a stable transfer protocol of hyperdata. But with the merge of Beats and Bits HTTP might just be too general to transfer and make meaning of this new kind of data; Superdata. Such is data that warrants some fineness and specificity when applied across varying problem sets. For context, I interprete Superdata as the combination (function) of hyper(text) data, semantic data and metadata.

Superdata = Hyperdata(Semantic Data) + Metadata

This has been the rapidly evolving state of the web in 2024, and with agentic systems, Superdata is gradually taking a life of its own. Sustainable escape velocity for Superdata usecases and applications will be achieved through specialised forms of HTTP or subprotocols of HTTP. As builders build, users will prove that semantic web data is the pivot for the success of Superdata applications.

I believe that compelling application usecases for Superdata warrant fresh perspectives of data formats that ensure efficient utilization of semantic data for humanity's progress. Man and Machine now have a friendly environment to collaborate in creating open standards and extending existing open standards and data specifications for humanity's success with the Open Web; the web that consumes and generates Superdata.

With the Semantic Web as the primary generator of semantic data in Web 3.0, Man and Machine should pay more attention to how crypto and AI will supercharge humanity's flourishing. Crypto gives money the freedom of movement, while AI gives computer programs the freedom of being. With crypto being programmable money, Agents on chain present a powerful frontier of freedom for humanity where raw human effort gets to enjoy acceleration in productivity. This acceleration in efficiency eventually frees up time and overall energy required in production, translating into optimal economical returns for effort applied. Such is the opportunity that the Global Majority populations such as Africa can leverage to build for the new world and accomplish accelerated economic freedom.

The flourishing of humanity cannot happen in parts. The whole greater than the sum of parts. Open standards and protocols in Web 3.0 and Web 2.0 have led to the flourishing of Silicon Valley, Guangzhou and their equivalents in the USA, China, and parts of Europe. The flourishing of Africa, Latin America, and South East Asia will thrive on these emerging open standards for Superdata unlocking more prosperity for the Global Majority. This is the component of Web 3.0 that will greatly determine how fast and sustainably the new age factors of production {Capital, Human Labor, Entrepreneurship, and Data} are applied.

GM to all travellers...

Eddie Kago
