What is EthStorage?

Think of EthStorage as a Layer 2 storage warehouse. It uses Key-value storage, which is perfect for Rollups because it allows them to store data permanently. This is unlike other storage solutions which only store data temporarily.

Why is this important?

Before EthStorage, Rollups could only store data for a short period of time. This meant that if you wanted to check old data or if you were a new user, you wouldn't be able to access all of the data. EthStorage solves this problem by creating a personal storage system for each Rollup.

EthStorage also uses Data Availability (DA) to solve the problem of long-term data storage and reduce storage costs on the Ethereum chain. This opens up the possibility for new types of on-chain applications, such as games, social networks, NFTs, and even AI.
