Stina Jones is an artist, designer, and doodler who has been an integral part of the evolving crypto-art movement that defines our space in time. 💻🖼️

She’s been cooking with pixels and blockchain since 2018, making her a true OG in this corner of the internet. 🤝

Marble Cards are one of the original NFT projects that stretch back all the way to 2017. Mint a custom card using a URL, but only one card per website address! First come, first serve – trade cards on the marketplace, curate your own unique user journey over time, or make your own meta with your cards. The sky is the limit. 😎

The pics here are just a few examples of past cards and the cards that we were able to mint using Stina’s generous contribution of her artwork’s URL – a massive thank you to her, Johan, and the Meme Explorers crew!

Is it me, or is Nifty Island becoming a thing? 🏝️

This is some of the most fun I’ve had in a while with a new environment – crisp, clean, modular, and so much fun to bonk your friends. 🔨

Not to mention the Wip Tower Tournament, hosted by beloved WIP team member and resident videographer Paradoxx! 🗼

The object of the tournament is simple. In the words of the great Rizzle: “We’re here for some good ‘ol fashioned killing!” ☠️

If you’ve ever played Fortnite or similar style games, you’ll feel right at home in the WIP Tower Tournament… unless you have a mini beach ball phobia. 🏖️

After all that excitement, it was time to wind down the action. 😴

After some R&R, we linked up with metaverse maestro Elated Pixel for a deep dive into all the latest and greatest events at Voxels. 🚀

And man, has he been conducting! The plot is electric and filled with minute details only found in a virtual representation of human habitation. ⚡

I love the guitar –  while I’m not personally instrumental (I can use a bean shaker!), the ability to make a tool sing is a deeply inspiring and human skill. 🎸

Placing a virtual representation of your physical hobby is cathartic in so many ways and speaks to the heart of what it means to see yourself in your work – whether physical or virtual. 💥

Elated Pixel’s plot is fire, and his community connections in Voxels really turn up the heat. 🌡️

The WIP crew received some behind-the-scenes lore about the neighborhood, such as the nearby Flamingo DAO parcel cooking up some epic on-chain coordination for collectors. 🦩

There’s also a nearby gallery, a decentralized collective featuring some of the top Voxel and metaverse artists who have been experiencing solid success in displaying and finding buyers for their works. 🎨

With the market heating up, those carrying the torch of on-chain art have the right to feel increasingly vindicated.

As many know, Hyperfy is the WIP home base. It’s where many of us got our first taste of the WIP Meetup, and it remains one of the most turnkey, plug-and-play metaverse environments on the market today. 👏

So, naturally, we all dropped in to converge for a bit of conversation. 🗣️

One of the coolest things about HyperFy (and the WIP in general, let’s be real) is the customized environments you’ll find weekly. People put in hours, love, and art to make these things fly! 🦅

Hoppin 2 Hubzz 🦘

What’s cooler than a hyperlink? A literal portal — thank you, WIP and Hyperfy! 🌌

If you read the manual, you might have had an idea of what to expect… The WIP crew is not composed of people who read manuals. 📑

I, for one, had an immediate throwback to Habbo Hotel and was loving every second of it. 🤩

The controls are intuitive, and the straightforward, top-down nature of the interactions makes the environment a breeze for familiarization – with no learning curve, you can immediately begin choosing elements of your own adventure. ⚔️

That’s part of what makes Hubzz a fantastic environment for socializing with groups of really any size. The lobby we were in had the same penthouse feel you get at the afterparties of most crypto conferences, with a capacity to match. 🏟️

There was plenty of room for side conversations away from the stage, but with enough room to navigate around without feeling that the environment was too crowded or cramped. ⚖️

“Hey, the author is kinda fawning over, uh, the ambiance of a 2d virtual space. Is he okay?” Yeah, I’m good, I’m just stoked that this sort of virtual environment is still around, and people love it. 🙌

Virtual worlds don’t need to be Fortnite-meets-Fallout to be phenomenal environments. Remember: this entire “virtual world” thing started with Pong, so there’s more to captivating an audience than flashy graphics. 💎

It’s refreshing to see a modular hangout hub that brings things back to basics but in a way that adds some newness and sleekness to the process. 😎

Was this the first public playtest of Hubzz? Yup – WIP brings the exclusives. 😗

And… we realized there was no message length cap, and you could embed gifs. Things got a little spammy, but we mostly behaved. 👀😂

The upgradability is one of my favorite aspects of the game – it gives the experience a more in-depth, customizable feel, sort of like League of Legends. 🤺

And with that comparison, I can already hear laughter about my lack of gaming skills. 😆

WIP has no formal affiliation with HyperFy, by the way – we evangelize any metaverse and digital asset things we find genuinely cool, engaging, and… relatively easy to build with. ⚒️

HyperFy ticks all those boxes for a rowdy bunch of virtual world hoppers like the WIP fam. 🌐

Fly in the Frogs! ✈️

One of the most exciting aspects of being a part of the WIP is getting a glimpse into the history and lore that has evolved around the community and experience. 🧙

This community has touched some of the industry's most well-respected, deeply networked, high-fidelity projects. 💎

Fly Frogs falls firmly within that category, with dedicated work from the team resulting in quality-of-life updates and new experiences and features that keep things fun, lighthearted, and genuine. ⭐

The project’s founder gave the WIP community an overview of what these reptilians are all about and how you can customize your froggy friends! 🦎

The FlyFrogs collection currently lives on OpenSea and is still super accessible compared to some of the trending collections of the day. The collection lives on Ethereum and Polygon, helping keep the frog-based interactions affordable and accessible.  🛍️

Which is important – FlyFrogs is much more interactive than your typical collation – use flies to breed your FlyFrogs and produce tadpoles! These cute little offspring have tons of unique traits and features that change depending on their parents. 👶

Is one of your tadpoles looking a bit… weird? No worries! You can use water lilies and dragonflies to customize your tadpoles – a good dinner can make a difference. 🍽️

These awesome features didn’t all come at once – founder Josh has been at it for over 2.5 years, and WIP fam member and co-founder Rizzle is on the roster of OG FlyFrog contributors. Awesome ecosystems and communities aren’t built in a day – they take time. 🕠

And the awesome folks at FlyFrogs have certainly been using their time wisely… my tadpoles look cool. 🐸

Jumping to Nifty Island 🏝️

With the crew still feeling froggy, we jetted over to one of the latest environments to make a buzz in the metaverse: Nifty Island! 🌞

This modular, easily-to-build-in environment has the Fortnite feel that gamers know and love, coupled with the on-chain aspects needed to qualify as a metaverse. 🧩

WIP fam member Metageist has been building hard in this environment and invited the group to test out his awesome new jump course environment, where we competed to race to the finish. 🏃

And man, is this experience sleek! We’re entering an era where metaverses feel more like a traditional game than an experimental environment. Welcome to the neon future. 😎

It got pretty crowded on some of the platforms – with over 20 avatars hopping around, it’s safe to say that the WIP regularly pushes virtual worlds to their limit. Shout out to Metageist and Nifty Island for holding up so well, as we all zipped around like flies avoiding FlyFrog tongues. 😜

Veteran artist and WIP friend Eclectic Method is no stranger to self-expression - they recently released a banging track that they’ve made completely free! It’s the kind of jam that’s easy to listen to and, personally, the exact kind of music I have playing when writing these articles - I have it on in the background now. 🎵

Terrence McKenna was right - by supporting one another, collaborating, and finding out tribes, we begin to create our own culture. If you’re gonna jam out, it’s best to do it while supporting the people you love. ✌️

It turns out that decentralized is the future of finance and music! 🚀

Gabe’s Got ASS 😩

The disappearance of genuine dialogue from our modern world has led to a crisis of meaning for many people. Guy Debord predicted this macro-cultural shift way back in 1967 in his work “The Society.” 📚

It’s this trend that inspired Gabe’s recent Anti-Stoic Spectacle, or ASS, collection. The collection is a weekly one-of-one that drops each Thursday, with the focus of poking fun at some of the topical things happening in the crypto space. Whether it be a tongue-in-cheek assertion that “crypto art is dead” or an ETF kerfuffle, Gabe is bottling the high-velocity dialogue of our modern society with each respective work. 🧴

Winning bidders also receive a Calendly link to hook up with Gabe and discuss art, inspiration, and the creative process. Gabe’s previously connected with collectors in this way to produce unique one-of-ones, and this engagement further sweetens the deal. 🍬

Green Candles - Long Fall! 📈

Skilled artist and creator Metageist spoils the WIP community with his inspired and engaging content, and this week was no different. The recent market action has everyone feeling chipper, and Metageist helped us ride the green candles into the sky! 💚☁️

The course was filled with moving boxes and platforms that were deceptively designed to appear easy… I, for one, think Rizzle covered them with avocado oil while we weren’t looking. 🥑🛢️

One galaxy-brain solution would be to use artificial intelligence and smart contracts to build a robot to do the course for you... but where's the fun in that? Online communities and crypto events are about people and fun.

Eventually, the three winners emerged, exhausted from their precarious ascent. Just like blockchain technology, they made it against all odds. ⛰️

Apartments For All - VIPE Style! 🏠

You’ve probably seen a VIPE asset in the wild without even knowing it. This amazing team is responsible for the most popular avatars in VR Chat and the metaverse, and they’re constantly cranking out amazing content that shapes the virtual worlds we know and love. 🚀

This time, they’ve cooked up custom apartments in HyperFy that users can trick out, relax in, and invite over their friends for house parties! It’s like my university days all over again, and it feels so right. 🕶️🥤

The apartments range from something you’d see in a downtown American or European city to custom real estate that looks like something straight out of neon-fantasy Japan. The customization and attention to detail are evident in every square foot. 🎨

Dubious actors occasionally use sneaky methods to drain the actual whisky from the bottle before refilling it with similar-looking, much cheaper booze. Talk about going above and beyond for a dram. 👮

🎁 Birthday Suit HyperFy

After some haphazard coordination, the anonymous naked avatars began pouring into the HyperFy parcel. 🚪

The process was surprisingly smooth – the WIP Community is used to on-the-fly shenanigans, which may partially explain how we could self-organize so seamlessly. 💅

…sort of. Some of us may or may not have tried to start avatar uprisings, and I sort of forgot I was dressed as a coffee cup. Small details that we quickly ironed out. 🍌☕

🧩The A-maze-ing Race

We then zipped over The Philosopher’s Maze in Voxels, a seemingly quaint yet sprawlingly large maze contained within one of the parcels there. It’s easy to get turned around. 😵‍💫

It was unexpectedly surprising to see these glowing white, naked avatars fly through the maze – two speedy fly-bys actually gave me a jump scare! 🙀

Even more scary than the lightning-fast naked avatars were the risks taken by some of the WIP Crew… Matthew accidentally braved fate, and we all learned that some NFT assets automatically load. 🕶️

And seriously, no Matthews or NFTs were harmed during the making of this screenshot. 🦺

With the maze complete, it was now time for something completely different. Something for which some of you came VERY prepared. 🏎️

🏁 CodeTrip City Raceway

With our engines now heated, we hopped over to CodeTrip City, a fantastic collaboration between Paradox and NineOverZero! 🤝

This wasn’t our first lap on the track – we took it for a spin earlier this year, and many of us were chomping at the bit to redeem ourselves. 😤

But before that, we were all a bit ready for some holiday cheer, so we stopped by the Pixelcahin Cabin in Voxels for some milk and cookies. 🍪

With cheer in our hearts and burning rubber on our minds, we were ready to rock and roll to the racetrack. 🏍️

We popped over the Code Trip City, and before we knew it, we were over the line and sprinting down the track!... 🛣️

…okay, while I wasn’t able to redeem myself, a lot of you did REALLY well. 👏😄

There’s a jump halfway through the track that I can never quite land – Metageist caught an epic clip of it. 📸

With some of us taking home the gold and redeeming our driving records (not me… next time, though), we were ready for our WIP Christmas capstone event! 🎅

🎄Christmas Wonderland Goes Virtual

Our unclothed cohort then dropped into the heartwarming Christmas venue made by VoxVienne, complete with its own festive merry-go-round and snowballs! ⛄

The environment is adorable – the shopkeepers wish you holiday tidings, and the interactive balloon lets you see the world from above without needing to brave the cold! 🎈

We’re not sure what the legal weight limit is for these types of machines… but no clothes mean lighter avatars, right? 🤔

Christmas is a beautiful time of year. ✨

It gives us a warm, fuzzy sort of feeling knowing that you can get a year-sized dose of holiday cheer, complete with friends, fun, and festivities, right here at the WIP Meetup.

There’s just something about leftover Thanksgiving goodies that capture the essence of the early holiday season – oh, and given it’s an American holiday, we added some burgers to the mix. 🦃🍔

Throw in a covered wagon, and you end up with El3eau, Rizzle, and Fabiano looking like they’re leading some sandwiches Westward to their new home in Kansas! 🌄

We had the pleasure of speaking with Rutger van der Tas at this week’s WIP Meetup, where he filled us in on his latest collection, Absolution. 👀

The collection captures the swirling intersections of art, finance, technology, and the thread of human experiences running concurrently through each, interpolating narratives and perspectives and evolving with time and markets. ⏲️📊

Next, we dropped into Kane Mayfield’s plot in Voxels to learn about his upcoming album Dust!

With the pad poppin’, it was time to dig in and learn how Kane is making history with digital art and music. 🎵

To say Dust is special would be doing it a disservice – this is the first Bitcoin album in existence. 🤯

Kane recorded the sounds of a Bitcoin miner programmed to make specific dings, rings, and bings when undertaking certain actions. 🤖

He then interweaves these sounds into the album in subtle, often undetectable ways to create a seamlessly enjoyable listening experience seasoned with Bitcoin goodness. 📀

Kane is continually pushing the boundaries of digital art in so many ways. 🚀

Dust will be unlockable on Bitcoin and be available on Ethereum via the Emblem Vault as a Bitocin asset, making it the first cross-chain music asset to date. 🥇

Early Bird Gets The Tunes 🐦

This week’s WIP kicked off a bit differently. With so much to pack in, we started half an hour early and hopped right into the Decentraland metaverse rabbit hole for their 3rd Annual Decentraland Music Fest! 🕳️🐇

Prior years featured globally recognized musicians like Bjork and Ozzy Osbourne. This year, Decentraland brought in a segment of creators even more critical to the global art scene: the community. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

The talented Bay Backner gave us a personal tour of the music festival, complete with some epic interactive art displays from the Decentraland community! 🎨

The “Crystal Cortex” by Micah Alhadeff was our first stop, serenading us with some tunes that matched the mood of the meetup. 🎵🎷🐛

And as DragoNate pointed out, it looks great from multiple angles… 🍑👀😆

What’s cool about Decentraland’s relative maturity as a metaverse is its ability to sneak in goodies and gifts at every turn. 🍬

Interacting with the venues unlocks dozens of emojis, reactions, and wearables you can use to trick out your avatar. Brookhawk was shredding it while rocking this excellent seasonal helmet. 🎸

Down Down Down By The River 🌊

To cap off our musical foray, the WIP community collaborated to pollute the local river with mushrooms and instruments. 🍄🥁

Kidding – we love nature, this was in the metaverse, and it was totally part of the game. We’re innocent, we swear! 👮

This collaborative stream was so much fun – simply add your preferred instrument (or mushroom, no judgment here) to the flow and rock and roll! 🤘

Suffice to say the WIP community came up with some really… uhh, interesting… combinations of sounds that perfectly encapsulate the cacophony of effort and fun we have each week: It ain’t orthodox, but it works, and we love it. ❣️

And we weren’t some tiny group like The White Stripes! Nope – we rolled in with dozens of us, so closer to Slipknot or some other band that needs a bus to move its members. 🚌

Somehow, we were able to blaze through the festival in record time – a massive thanks to Bay and Brookhawk for showing our rowdy group a great time and keeping us on track. 🛣️

Broadside Laps The Sun! ☀️

Some aspects of the metaverse can get a bit dicey. Who owns how much of what? How can they use it commercially for profit? There’s a lot to consider that we might not consider. 🤔

Broadside is a response to this uncertainty. It’s a decentralized, self-forming narrative of over 7000 heroes whose models are derived from cc0 artwork with full commercial rights… which simply means that when you become a Broadsider, you own the name, likeness, and everything else. 🤝

Community-centric artistic expression at its finest… and they’re officially a year old! 🎁

So naturally, the party was an epic, metaverse-based house dance-off in OnCyber. I can confidently say that while there, I witnessed avatars ranging from inspiring to confusing to… inspiringly confusing. 💡

The WIP community is always enthusiastic about supporting grassroots, community-first metaverse projects and environments. This industry thrives when creators support one another, and we’re consistently inspired by the stalwart efforts and energy of the fantastic creators that make up the metaverse. 🌌

Dropping on November 15th, 2023, Surreal Visions reimagines art history through the unique lens of Elise’s artistic journey. 👣

Drawing on iconic 20th-century surrealist artists like Dorothea Tanning, Gertrude Abercrombie, Helen Lundeberg, and Remedios Varo, each piece adds a new dimension to the time-honored surrealist tradition. 🌌

The coolest part? Each piece corresponds to a distinct astrological period – during that period, the work changes state before reverting to its “still” state for the remainder of the year. 🤯

404 Show - Patrick Amadon 📹

Providing a way for artists to mutually discover one another, 404 Show shows why decentralized art is the way of the future. 💻

Artists can submit one piece per quarter, which will then be curated into the macro-collection. From there, famous collectors have already lined up to grab a piece of the action. 🧩

While the initial August 2023 collection has concluded, Patrick shared that the collection’s success prompted him and supporters to collaborate in organizing a non-profit to carry the initiative forward. 🤝

And Patrick is no stranger to taking risks – his run-in with the CCP at Hong Kong’s art expo has him listed as “pro rioter,” and Xi’s cronies put custom malware on his computer. 👾

Turns out that showing the names of the arrested Hong Kong protesters for a quarter-second is more than enough to draw the ire of the CCP. Talk about walking on eggshells. 🥚

From the safety of our virtual HyperFy gallery, we entered a world for which many of us were not prepared but were excited to experience upon landing. 🏙️

The Man Who Sold The World 🗺️

The name of the metaverse is spot on - TMWSTW is a 1:100 scale copy of our beloved Earth! You can even snag your home city on the marketplace. ⚖️

For better or worse, we landed in Houston. Sorry, rest of Texas, we know that hurts. 🤠

One of the coolest things about the TMWSTW metaverse is the realism. Walking, running, and interacting with the world delivered a sensation of being fragile, much like being a human in the real world, where falling from two meters means exploding knees. 💥

To offset this vulnerability, we all received fully automatic weaponry. 🔫

Socially, we’re all big and fluffy. 🐑

But we also grew up with online gaming, so arming the entire WIP Meetup went… about as well as expected. ⚔️

The Grand Tour 🏙️

Thankfully, the metaverse has universal healthcare that works – quick respawns for everyone! ❤️‍🩹

After some virtual firefights, we settled in and began our grand tour of the greater Houston area! 📸

Needless to say, the art was fantastic, and MisfitPixels was jazzed to discover a looming statue from his collections peering over the TMWSTW Houston skyline! 🌆

TMWSTW is more than just running and gunning through a Texas metropolis. 🏃

Users can access nodes that reward them in the form of $BOB, $SLAG, or $TMWSTW – each resource is used to construct buildings, fuel vehicles, and serve as the medium of exchange in the world. 💰

This configuration means that you can secure your own nodes in the metaverse and earn while you play! But be careful… anyone can slip past you and snag the resources from your node. Better make friends with the neighbors. 🕊️

Nodes are those giant black towers you see in the background. As you’ll notice, these ones are well-guarded. 🛡️

…the duck is the most unsettling to us for some reason. Look at those eyes! What has it seen? 🦆

The accessibility of TMWSTW is captivating. It holds nothing back in allowing players nearly unlimited freedom and equal opportunity to build and earn in the metaverse. 🟰

The best part? It’s all on chain. While we at The WIP Meetup remain tech-agnostic and metaverse-maxi, there’s something particularly cool about every aspect of a virtual world landing directly on mainnet. ⛰️

This on chain functionality does come with some unique considerations. You can only display as many NFTs as you have available in your wallet, so no free samples or placeholders like in HyperFy! You have to get discerning about where you want to show off your goodies. 🔍

Perhaps that’s why a lot of TMWSTW art is so bold – after all, everything is bigger in Texas. 🐂

We had an incredible time in TMWSTW metaverse! A huge thank you to @NftCelestials for guiding us on our tour – he was super calm about the bullets flying around, so we’re confident this isn’t his first rodeo. 💪

We even secured some protection by the end of the event! Okay, they did pepper us with some rounds before we became friends, but that’s water under the bridge.🌉🦅

Those are called luxury problems, and we love them. 💅

Snail Tale Bonanza! 🦴🐌

We kicked things off in The WIP HyperFy room, which was beautifully decked out in proper Halloween fashion. 🎃

A MONUMENTAL SHOUTOUT to the #AnonSnail, who donated a lot 😵‍💫 in tokens and NFT assets to make this event an absolute bonanza.

Put out some cucumbers for your local snails tonight, folks. 🥒

The entire HyperFy parcel was covered in a mist, making it a spooky adventure fit for the season. 👻

And it was worth heading into the fog – Rizzle, NiftyTime, and Factilians hid fifteen individual snails across the map! 🗺️

Those brave enough to hunt down the snails were rewarded with exclusive NFT skins to show off throughout the metaverse! 👕

We also had to watch out for traps that teleported us back to the beginning… all that walking was hard on the virtual feet. 👣

These cute little Halloween-themed buddies were the fantastic handiwork of Fabiano and Patrizia. If you haven’t had a chance to check out their collections, we highly recommend it. 🎨

As the snails were slowly collected, HyperFy began to buckle under the weight of all the epic shenanigans. 😬

Whoops… 🤷

We have no definitive idea of what caused this technical difficulty, nor is this dear author qualified to find out. So, instead of a reasonable technical explanation, here’s a low-res screenshot of BullyMeow taking the L for everyone like a hero. 👑

Zombie Slaying Quest! 🧟

Upon migrating from HyperFy, we landed in Voxels for an absolutely incredible zombie-slaying session! 🔫

Misft Pixels put together something we didn’t even know was possible with the current tech and delivered an undead experience to fit the holiday season. 🎮

With virtual rockets in hand, the almost-too-big-for-the-metaverse WIP Squad aimed for the highest score on the board! 💯

There was zero wait time, too. Everyone receives their own instance of the game, meaning everyone can play simultaneously – cooperation at its finest, flying on the cutting-edge wings of decentralized tech. How cool is that? 😎

Shortly after that… Voxels got a little shaky. 🧂

So, back to HyperFy we went where we encountered something really out of this world! 👽

From the Stars! ⭐

A giant flying saucer served up by Paradoxx and NineOverZero gave us options… twelve rooms to choose from, with marvelous prizes in each. 🚪

Lucky winners had their pick of the draw. 🤑Those left back on Earth didn’t miss out – our #AnonSnail made sure there were plenty of goodies to go around, so regardless of “beamed up” status, everyone who participated had a treat bag of NFT goodies to take home. 🕊️❣️🐌

Also, shout out to Metageist for winning the unofficial costume contest. His avatar loaded in at the perfect time, and I thought aliens were legitimately invading us. 😅

Thankfully, FlyFrog and Classic Carrot were there to calm everything down. Taking spooky to a new level. 👻

By now, HyperFy was thoroughly broken under the weight of all the amazing giveaways, avatars, and shenanigans. 😁

We even made Voxels buckle a bit – the WIP is growing in power! We’re gonna need a bigger boat. 🛶

The Afties 🔥

To wrap up the excitement, Sho walked us through the latest and greatest in the world of Web3 and beyond. 🌌

It turns out that SBF can’t keep himself out of the limelight and decides to take the stand against his lawyer's advice. He conveniently has a foggy memory of the events leading up to FTX’s collapse. 😬

Plus, crypto is in the news again, with U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren and 100 other lawmakers signing a bill condemning crypto as funding Hamas. Apparently, the organization used crypto for hundreds of millions of dollars worth of transactions. 😱

…or not. It turns out they got the numbers completely wrong in every way, and Hamas has raised around $2000 from crypto, all of which was frozen. Epic Fail, Liz. 🤦

We started our journey in the comfortable confines of The WIP Meetup HyperFy. ☀️

If you’re new to HyperFy, imagine a metaverse where you can drag-and-drop your favorite assets and build your own mixed reality experiences. 🔌

It’s a wide, open world… a bit too open for a wayward chicken leg. 🍗

We then hopped in the portal to CyberDrop where we rocked and rolled with some of the coolest metaverse artists on the block(chain). 🛣️

This collection of amazing creators has collaborated to create the Figurine of the Future collection, dropping on NiftyKit on October 24th! 📅Mark your calendars. It’s gonna be big! 🎉

ArtPetio 🎨

ArtPetio served up some of the cutest little dudes I’ve ever seen. This lil’ guy has Mushroom Kingdom energy! ⚡🥺

After a fateful journey, they were reunited. 😍

…but apparently, my man here is a heartbreaker. 😭💔

Overall, amazing quality and cuteness from ArtPetio - give him a follow! 👏

Zigor ☄️

Zigor was really competing for the blue ribbon in terms of cute metaverse creatures.🐇

This little guy stole my heart, and looks like he comes in two flavors! ☯️

And these little troublemakers are apparently always getting into some kind of mischief.🤫

See that bread? It was a sandwich until one of them stole the meat! 😣🥓

This is a bit of a change of pace from Zigor’s usual surrealist pieces, which we also love! Check ‘em out! 👀

Crypto Clay Art 🌍

Crypto Clay’s approach to metaverse art is unlike anything you’ve seen before! 🌟

This piece is a literal clay model, brought to life using 3D scans and imagine technology. 🤯

While your dentist can make a mold and model of your teeth, they ain’t uploadin’ it to the metaverse! 💋

Crypto Clay’s work has a physicality that can only come being… well, physical. You gotta see it. 💪

Spectr 👾

Spectr’s work blends the delicate beauty of falling cherry blossoms with a bio-technical deep space scout… and it is awesome! 🌸🛰️

Metageist approaches mixed reality art unlike anyone else in the world. 💯🌐

His latest piece is this beautiful, heartfelt expression of frustration and uncertainty regarding recent world events.🙏

HyperFy Kickoff 🚀

This week’s journey began in the incredibly versatile world of HyperFy. Check it out!

It’s the most user- and imagination-friendly metaverse environment out there, and the perfect jumping-off point for a metaverse safari. 🦁🐍

Think of HyperFy like drag-and-drop virtual legos… because that’s basically what it is. 🧱

If we can figure it out, you got this. Just look at how relaxed Metageist and BallisticBanana are because of how easy it is!\

Jumpin’ in the Sandbox 🏖️

One of the best things about The WIP Meetup is the community support.

The amazing couple Fabiano and Patrizia have been collaborating on “Mike’s Maze” for over a year, and the love and attention to detail they’ve put in shines through with every frame. 👨‍❤️‍👨

Fabiano’s presentation is the perfect example of why the metaverse is so amazing - Mike’s Maze lives in Sandbox, but the presentation happened in Voxels.

Jumping between the two worlds isn’t as smooth as silk (yet), but the interoperability is getting sleek. 💋🤏

Plus if you’re feeling like riding shotgun, you can always check out the Twitch stream.

Then we all fought like hungry prisoners to be the first to make it through a maze with a portal at the end. 🌌

Staying on Track 🛣️

Thankfully, there was a backup portal for slowpokes like me.

We all landed back in HyperFy, where we received a warm welcome to Code Trip City and Paradox showed us around one of the coolest car showrooms in the metaverse I’ve seen so far. 🚗

After that someone put in the code to access the sky lounge! We hopped on the red elevator you see in the picture above and greeted with…

…the existential horror of a man observing himself caged and made to dance as an avocado. 🥑😱

Not really. Rizzle was cool with it.

From the skydeck we entered anothe portal and landed right next to the Code Trip City Racetrack, where we made NASCAR look like a bootleg carnival ride. 🎡

…and flew off the track a lot. Eat your heart out, Talladega.

The top three winners received exclusive NFTs of custom, metaverse-ready vehicles. 🏆

How much more could you ask for from a virtual stock car race on a Thursday? 🎁

Bringing it Home 🏠

From there, we headed back for the Discord afterparty. 🎉

Some of us met back up at the WIP HyperFy room for double the fun.

Others had a hard stop after and will catch us at the next one. ✌️
