I am an Web 0.1 engineer for non-english speaking country. Web 0.1 stands for industry machine world.

This my first trip in metaverse. I have tried to get my first penny of crypto coin, play the future in the exchanger, setup my first wallet in metamask and mint my first real NFT. Very excited and interesting jounry. So many new words and abbreviations for me to learn. DeFi, Dapp, Degame, P2E..etc.. The concept of decentralized and community culture is attractive for me.

While the Web 3.0 metaverse is also full of trap and hacker.

when I joined my first Discord community in order to participate the mint activity, a strange “man” added me to the friend list and sent me a message to “congratulate” me that I have been invited into the whitelist. A special mint link for whitelist was shown in the message. Just for curious, I clicked the link, which shown a very similar picture as what I saw on the offical site. I “minted“. but no NFT appeared in my wallet! After one hour, I double checked the record in my wallet. this record is only a transaction not a smart contract. I was cheated! How stupid I am.

I should be more careful in Web3.0, especially for a non-english speaker. the combination of letters sometimes seems not so different.

But anyway, it is an wonderful experience. I will keep on my exploration in Web3.0.
