At BLVKHVND, our mission is to be at the epicenter of gaming, esport, and culture. But to get there, we need more than a name, we need more than wins, we need image. What’s in a brand that you can wear?

The only other company that embodies the spirit of a true brand that works within and outside of gaming is 100Thieves—an apparel brand that also manages one of the most visible esports teams in the business. From their basics, jerseys, and the collaborations with Gucci, Attack on Titan, and the digital skins for Valorant and Rogue Company—they have uniquely positioned themselves as an extension into culture.

We want to go further.

The HVND identity is not just gleamed through the digital channels, but within the physical environments in which we play. How do we leverage our brand to represent the vast variation of sport under a unified banner?

We return to fashion as a root, a foundational bedrock of our organization to effectively catalyze our community. Introducing the 2022 Pro Kit

For us, we knew that having just 1 jersey wouldn’t showcase the diversity of our players, the games we play, and what our brand is. So we decided to pull inspiration from some of the best Kits in the business: FIFA. Futbol or Soccer has some of the most iconic looks on the pitch no matter if they play at home, away, or want to spice it up with an alternative look that turns heads. In competitive LAN events, many of them span a full weekend, and since we typically make appearances all three days, we wanted to give our players that same sense of style whether its a controller in hand or a mouse + keyboard.

Voidwalker

“Voidwalker” is our Home Kit jersey. Stepping into the unknown, it’s hard to know what’s on the other side. But meeting a challenge head on, you become unstoppable. Our players believe in us, and we journey through the unknown, together.

“The Wall” is the Away jersey for our pro teams. Signifying our growing community—the support we had when we started to the HVND Army we’ve cultivated since November has been incredible to watch. This design is dedicated to you all.

Death’s HVND

“Death’s HVND” is our Alternate Kit jersey design. When wearing this, you become a harbinger of chaos. When it’s time to lock in and clutch up, the only thing you want your opponents seeing is the color red. Are you ready?

How To Purchase

The NFT presale starts tonight at 11pm Eastern from March 14th to April 10th. There is a limit of 500 per each jersey that can be ordered through the initial presale. Check back with this link at 11pm to cop one or as many as you’d like. Each jersey NFT will be sold at .15 ETH. After the presale, we will announce a general drop for those who missed out and a giveaway for the full set.

75% of the sales go to the treasury, 20% is given toward the apparel team, 5% is given to all of our signed players.

BLVKHVND aims to tell a comprehensive fictional narrative story about the HVND. As such, each year (in current form) is a narrative arc spanning three seasons. These seasons build on each other providing LORE scattered throughout NFT drops, community events, and other immersive experiences. Story content is available for members and non members alike.

Story

Land of the HVND: Black Marrow is a special material that is both super-light, and incredibly dense. It's cultivated from the bones of an ancient giant race that once roamed the Earth. A special faction called the HVND operates in secret pockets around the globe, subtly influencing events to benefit their agenda. Ancient rituals (hand holding ceremonies) performed in specific ruins fill black marrow with a special force that reacts differently to each user. A new faction surfaces, threatening peace on Earth if the HVND is not wiped off the face of the planet.

• Community Vote

  The Community Vote was a success! With over 5k votes, the community selected Illuvium as our fifth and final game for our competitive division to tackle into 2022’s competitive circuit. More info can be found here: Community Vote

• HVND 2022 Team Roster Announcement

  As we complete the combine, we will announce our team members that the HVND community signs on. We are super excited to meet our players.

• Monster Mash Open Invitational Tournament

  Our goal is to host a successful live broadcasted tournament to bring crypto-native gaming to our existing non-crypto community, and develop on-ramps to earn crypto for them and our newer members. The Monster Mash is not just a name, we aim to create a thematic experience for active participants and viewers with competitions related to gaming and culture are open and available to enjoy.

  This tournament also acts as a stress test for our newly formed esports teams to help them develop early chemistry as they begin to play with each other for the first time.

• Community “Let’s Play” Events

  We wouldn’t be a gaming DAO if we didn’t play games together. We’ll be opening up our calendars and our thumbs to organize DAO wide “let’s play” events to build camaraderie and respect amongst each other with the games we love. These are always opt-in fun, you can be a member and never pick up a controller—we love you all the same.

Season Pass

Season of Affluence kicks off our first ever pathway for community activities through storytelling. We hope that it helps community members earn rewards and contribute to the HVND through participating in events, completing challenges, being active on social, engaging in defi & NFTs. How Does it Work?

• Each week a set of tasks are given for members to complete to progress to the next level within the season pass.

• At the end of each week, a snapshot is gathered to capture task completion for players to redeem their rewards.

FAQ

1. How does this NFT work with existing Access and Crowdfund NFTs?

   For our members who own the crowdfund and access nfts, they play a role in establishing the lore of this season and can be used in a special way toward the completion of the season’s events. For the HVND of ACCESS NFT specifically, these were made to address folks who did not participate in the crowdfund and/or could not receive a crowdfund NFT (due to contract error)—so these special NFTs have modifying properties to some of the rewards found within the season pass. 2. How do we participate in the premium reward tier?

About the Combine

The HVND Combine of 2022 marks the inaugural application cycle for BLVKHVND’s recruitment of players and coaching staff. Our goal is to stand up and facilitate competitive, amateur, and research teams for new & emerging games, alongside staple titles, and other popular titles of crypto and non-crypto native distinction. For our first year, we will focus on 5 titles, one being community choice.

We encourage all types of players from all backgrounds to apply.

Apex Legends

Apex Legends is one of the most popular titles of the past few years and shows no shortage of interest and player talent from its rich, dynamic universe. The ALGS year after year has built one of the largest purses of tournament earnings with 2021-22 season at $5m in total prizes.

Player + Coaching Goals

Our goal is to recruit a 5 person team for Arenas to compete in ALGS Season 3. For the combine, the top three candidates will be offered primary placement with candidates 4 + 5 offered secondary roles. In addition to players, we will be looking for a coach, gameplay analyst, and broadcaster/host to commentate our games.

Halo Infinite

Halo. The staple. The game that the core inceptors of BLVKHVND had played when they competed seriously. A cultural icon in its own right, HALO will always be a core element of esports and a core game of the HVND.

Player + Coaching Goals

Our goal is to recruit a 4 person team to compete in HCS for Halo Infinite. For the combine, the top four candidates will be offered primary placement. In addition to players, we will be looking for a coach, gameplay analyst, and broadcaster/host to commentate our games.

Axie Infinity

Axie Infinity has continued to prove that it is one of the most impactful and expansive titles in the crypto-gaming space and has the potential to become a prolific eSports phenomenon. At BLVKHVND we see a cross-pollination of our players building comp teams, developing content around mechanics, metas, breeding, as well as contributing to building a dynamic eSports Axie league within North America.

Player + Coaching Goals

Our goal is to recruit a 3 person team to compete in Arena for Axie Infinity. For the combine, the top candidates will be offered primary placement. We have plans to onboard at least 10 scholarships over the next two HVND seasons to help round out breeding, meta analysis, $SLP + $AXS grinding, among other facets of the Axie economy.

Parallel

While the main game has not launched yet, Parallel is one of the most anticipated blockchain based AAA titles with Magic, the Gathering level appeal. Parallel can become a TCG titan with an expansive league for competitive play, amateur appeal, casual play while inventing new mechanics for trading cards we haven’t seen yet. At BLVKHVND, we want to be at the cutting edge of new, novel gaming experiences because it gives us the opportunity to develop and shape a better culture for gaming overall.

Player + Coaching Goals

For Parallel, the game is not out yet so we cannot test conventionally. However, we are looking for enthusiastic fans of the project to help us create content as we await launch. Other roles include a market analyst to determine which assets should be held within our treasury and strategies to create broader access and appeal for other HVND members.

Community Choice

We not only want to promote and play great games, we want all HVNDs to have a chance to enjoy them as much as our pro and amateur teams do. So our fifth game for next year’s competitive season will be chosen by HVND members! In the coming weeks before the Combine Event, we will gather the best proposals and vote on them using Snapshot to build a team to compete. We are so excited to see what will be chosen!

Player + Coaching Expectations

Teams are more than just the players, good teams have coaches, analysts, and trainers at the highest competitive level. For us, serving casual, amateur, and pro-level players is no easy task, but one we are eager to tackle. Our focus will be recruiting for enthusiastic, coachable players that have the propensity to learn and experiment with their gameplay. Knowledge and experience of the game titles a player is interested in forming a team is important as is some level of competitive experience.

All players that do get accepted into our Pro and Amateur programs as well as coaching staff will receive compensation. These positions require hard work, dedication, and immense collaboration. We are a unit that serves the community as a beacon to break barriers and boundaries within competitive sport. As such, your work will not be undervalued and we seek to ensure an environment where you are not just rewarded for your efforts, but supported throughout our journey together.

Last Sunday, we captured a snapshot of 236 addresses that owned the original HVND OF AFFLUENCE and wanted to do batch airdrops through our multisig. At the same time, there were a multitude (and a continued wave) of NFT drops from The Hundreds, to LOOT, and everything in between causing a huge sustained spike in gas cost. We thought about what to do, and decided to delay the airdrop in the hopes things would calm down significantly enough for us to deploy our airdrop. \n \n At the same time, in collaboration with Mirror, we worked to build a custom contract with their platform that would allow folks to claim the airdrop—it would just take a few more days. Now, that it’s Thursday, post hurricane for us northeast folks (NYC, Philadelphia, etc), we have the token ready to be claimed. \n \n Your NFTs should be viewable on OpenSea shortly after receiving them. We are currently updating the metadata on our contract’s profile page.

Overview

We are excited to announce the BLVKHVND Liquidity Mining Program. As we continue to build towards community ownership of BLVKHVND, creating liquidity for HVND via the community is an important step. To do this, we worked with Forefront to stand up our LP site and guide.

BLVKHVND will allocate 10,130 HVND from the treasury for this program that will get distributed to HVND/ETH Uniswap V2 liquidity providers over a period of 60 days, starting at 16:30PM on Sept 3rd, 2021 (EST Time).

The program is designed to further bootstrap HVND liquidity by giving the community an opportunity to earn rewards for providing liquidity to our current Uniswap pool, not for speculative purpose.

The reward will be distributed proportionally to the amount of liquidity each person provides. i.e. if you provide $4,000 worth of liquidity ($2,000 HVND & $2,000 ETH) and there is a total of $100k liquidity in the HVND-ETH pool, for 10 days, then you are entitled to 10% of the distribution over that period.

Specification

• The program will start on September 3rd, 2021, 16:30 PM EST time.

• The reward is available for HVND/ETH Uniswap V2 pool Liquidity Providers, shared proportionally to the staked amount;

• Users will be able to stake, accumulate, unstake and claim their rewards directly at will. There are no lockups on staked tokens.

• The liquidity mining program will run for 60 days, Subsequent liquidity mining programs will be determined by HVND holders and community members.

Using the same wallet your previously provided liquidity, Visit BLVKHVND Staking Platform, Click Connect Wallet to unlock your web3 wallet;

Click Approve Staking to grant the staking contract the permission to use the LP tokens. Once the transaction is confirmed, click Stake and input the amount of LP tokens you would like to supply for staking then approve the transaction;

Once done, you should be able to see the token reward dripping on the staking section of the page.

BLVKHVND is a dSports gaming organization powered by a community of gamers, creatives, and fans to have fun, learn, and build together while earning in the process. Earlier this week, we launched the “Heavy is the HVND” crowdfund initiative to raise funds standup our HVND DAO and aggressively acquire assets of the most anticipated crypto-native trading card game Parallel before their card holding snapshot. We could not have been more lit. Within the first 1 minute we reached our funding goal of 100 ETH. Within hours, we eclipsed 200 ETH. In the final stretch, we ended with 337.75 ETH—a $1m seed round.

Our raise told us a few things, but the most glaring fact was the recognition that the gaming industry needs something different. Something that blends culture + gaming, something that equitably distributes value through competition, content creation, and career pathways that touch all areas of the gaming industry. They are betting on BLVKHVND’s success and we know that we’ll make it because of our community and partners like Lemniscap whose impact in crypto and gaming is well established.

Parallel Asset Acquisition

Immediately after the crowdfund’s closing we went to work purchasing roughly 130 ETH of Parallel Assets to complete 4 Parasets to obtain Galaxy Keys before the set snapshot. Our treasury is now sitting on over a half a million in asset value. With the addition of the Galaxy Keys and new Rug Poll [SE] assets, we are squarely positioned to make an impact in the Parallel community.

On Sunday Aug 29, we will distribute the NFTs for the Patron Winners. These NFTs were minted on Zora from our BLVKHVND proxy address (the same address that created this mirror publication). We will also like to take this opportunity to reveal that the largest contribution was made by Lemniscap, a forward looking venture fund, and we are proud to have their support. We are excited and welcome their involvement with BLVKHVND as we strive to radically change esports, one HVND at a time!

NFT Drop

We’ve gotten such a positive response to the crowdfund that more of you want in! While we do not have an active crowdfund, on Sunday Aug 29, we will be dropping our “HVND OF ACCESS” NFT. This NFT is an edition of 200, available first come, first serve, never to be minted again. Supporters will receive the NFT, access to our discord role “The HVND”, a reward of 100 $HVND tokens, and a special thanks for being an early supporter of BLVKHVND.

Unfortunately we cannot recover any other NFTs that were lost during the crowdfund. As such, the ACCESS NFT will be airdropped to the 7 backers who did not receive a HVND OF AFFLUENCE.

For those who did get NFTs from the crowdfund, we will mint and airdrop Special Edition versions of the claimed number of NFTs. A snapshot will be taken Sunday morning at 9am EST to determine who gets these SE NFTs. We are excited to see all of our holders rock their favorite pieces. On August 31st, any participant in the crowdfund or purchases the ACCESS NFT on Sunday will be eligible to become a LIQUID HVND. Liquid Hvnds are liquidity providers that help give the token an open market to be bought, sold, traded amongst community members and speculators.

BLVKHVND Monster Mash Invitational

Our goal is to host our first tournament of the year and bring a mixture of crypto-native games like Axie Infinity to our community to discover and play with the communities they are apart of. • Governance is done through Snapshot and will employ delegation and quadratic voting toward proposals. Over time, we seek to refine our proposal process and develop key criteria to reach a sufficient quorum when voting occurs.

• $HVND can be earned through active participation in events, bounties, and projects.

• $HVND can be purchased through Uniswap or through specific NFT drops wherever specified.

• $HVND will offer liquidity rewards for members who lend game assets to the Treasury for the community to use and play

$HVND Distribution

All $HVND tokens were minted through the Mirror Crowdfund Contract with 25% already distributed to the community and 75% withheld for further distribution.

At inception the DAO will be operated as a 2/3 Gnosis Safe Multisig operated by the BLVKHVND Staff and governed by the HVND community. The address to the multisig is: 0x4763cfa50311729B65815E5Ae9EbBefDB94EC112 (blvkhvnd.eth).

The distribution of the remaining tokens is as follows:

Circulating — 40%

$HVND held by members and receivers of any future airdrops. These tokens are fully liquid and free to be used by the community at their choosing.

Season 1 will feature an entry balance of 100 HVND.

Community Treasury — 35%

$HVND retained by the DAO to be used at the community’s discretion and distributed through governance proposals. There’s no vesting on the community treasury, meaning the entire allocation is available at launch at the discretion of HVND community governance.

More details on the future of HVND and how to make a proposal on Snapshot will be provided early next week.

Team — 15%

$HVND retained by the staff, subject to a one year vesting with a 6 month cliff followed by monthly unlocks. These tokens are used as long-term incentives for existing staff, and includes an options pool for future contributors.

Strategic Partners — 5%

$HVND given to strategic partners in the form of VC, Angel Investors, or other large contributors, subject to a one year cliff + 2 year linear release starting from end of year 1 followed by monthly unlocks. At the one year cliff, 25% of the allotted HVND will unlock, followed by 6.25% each quarter for the remaining two years. Participating firms will be asked to delegate ~25-50% of their votes.

Liquid HVNDs — 5%

BLVKHVND will launch a whitelisted HVND/ETH liquidity mining program on August 31st, open exclusively to HVND members who have been activated on Discord who participated in the crowdfund or purchased the HVND SEASON ONE NFT.

5064.825 $HVND (0.5% of the total supply) will be allocated to the first month of liquid hvnds, and a detailed tutorial for members will be shared in the coming weeks.

Please exercise extreme caution when participating in liquidity provision as tokens can be highly volatile. We encourage anyone considering joining this program to read about impermanent loss and recognize that there are inherent risks to providing liquidity.

Liquid HVNDs is expected to run as an ongoing program, alongside a suite of other community-based distribution programs instituted for Seasons One and beyond.
