A pleasant surprise entered my Discord feed today, “SERIES 5 IS LIVE! GO GO GO!!!!”. My heart stopped, I felt ecstatic! Yet anxious — I wasn’t at my computer!

Luckily, this was not my first Series. No more learning curve. I hopped on and 45 minutes later I had both wallets setup, bounty hunter rocking, and I was back in the zone.

The reality is experience and learning from my mistakes from expedited the process.

For this reason, I share my experience, tips, and trick to scroll for Avastars in this short series of videos, all viewable below.

Videos include:

Here is a short video on installing the bounty hunter tool by Kai. The github link is here: https://github.com/kaigani/avastars-bounty-hunter.

It really is a simple process. Make sure you have Chrome installed. I also suggest making sure your Chrome Favorites Bar is viewable.

The Bounty Hunter tool will come pre-loaded with a few bounties. In this video I will quickly explain setting up different bounties.

Once you have the Bounty Hunter installed, you need to start searching for Avastars. Make sure to connect your Metamask wallet.

You will notice two queues, Teleporter and Wish List. If you have a Avastar in your wallet, you will see a 3rd queue called Consignment. The Teleporter queue is used to purchase an Avastar.

This video goes into greater detail and includes some tips on finding and consigning Avastars.

This video goes a little deeper into consigning. I also explain how I post multiple global feeds, where to post your feed, and where to find bounties.

Scrolling ends with Series 5. However, in the Replicant series I do believe you can consign traits. So, do not forget to pickup your own Avastars when scrolling.

Turn on your favorite music and enjoy!

Website: www.Avastars.io

Bounty Hunter: https://github.com/kaigani/avastars-bounty-hunter

Discord: https://discord.gg/9bt8KbX7

Twitter: https://twitter.com/AvaStarsNFT

Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin being the first) is digital or virtual money that is stored and managed in a decentralized system called the blockchain, a public ledger, meaning that cryptos do not rely on banks or central authorities to store the assets, verify transactions and provide a history of your sending / receiving, but are rather recorded on the blockchain — which is a public ledger (record keeper) of those transactions. It is basically a peer-to-peer system that allows people to pay each other anywhere in the world without the need for third-party systems like the central banks. Your cryptocurrencies are stored in digital wallets which can be installed on your mobile phone, computer, tablet or just remain in the cloud for later access — either with your email address, phone number, backup phrase.

Cryptocurrencies can similarly be compared to your normal Fiat money (Dollar, Pound, Euro etc) and or shares investments in companies that you would buy. There are many different types of Cryptocurrencies which are discussed below.

Cryptocurrency is a type of virtual or digital currency that can be used for buying, selling, trading, investing or for a multiple other uses for multiple different industries and markets. Cryptos are secured by “cryptography” (secure communications techniques) and blockchain technology (a digital ledger of records called blocks), which makes them nearly impossible to hack and manipulate.

Essentially, you can think of cryptocurrencies in the same way as

Your local FIAT currency (dollar, pound, euro),- Shares in a company (Tesla, Canon, Google)- An investment into something like property- A Medical Aid platform- Financial Options (borrowing, lending, staking)

depending on which cryptocurrency you choose. Just like the “real” companies, the risk of liquidation, collapse projects are a risk and everyones is always advice to DYOR — Do Your Own Research.

The vast majority of cryptocurrencies are decentralized using blockchain technology, which is a a distributed record of transactions enforced and secured by a huge network of interconnected computers. Esssentially, its a network of computers run by different companies, groups, individuals that keep a copy of the ledger. Nothing can be changed as there are multiple computers that are needed to approve one transcation. The defining feature of cryptocurrencies is that they are usually not issued by a central authority, therefore making them immune to government interference and manipulation.

The first cryptocurrency based on this blockchain technology was Bitcoin, which to this day, remains the most popular and most valuable crypto on the market. Today, there are more than 15 000 alternate cryptocurrencies with many different functions and unique specifications.

Some of these are based on Bitcoin, such as in the case of clones or forks, while many others are new currencies that were built from scratch, using similar technologies and systems as Bitcoin.

Following Bitcoin’s success, many cryptocurrencies have begun popping up everywhere. These cryptos, often referred to as “altcoins,” include Ethereum, Cardano, XRP, Binance Coin, and Litecoin. Today, the total value of all the cryptocurrencies in the market is worth around $1.5 trillion, with Bitcoin currently representing more than 60% of the total value.

The world of cryptocurrencies is growing and evolving at a constant and rapid rate and there the categories for different types of cryptos keep expanding. Here is a list of MAIN crypto categories that you should know about:

Payment Coins- Privacy Coins- Stable Coins- Utility Tokens- Meme Coins- NFTS- Cryptocurrencies make it easier to transfer funds directly between two parties, without the need for banks or credit card companies to oversee the transaction. These transfers are instead secured by the blockchain and crypto network itself.- Cryptocurrencies are decentralized and are therefore not controlled by a central authority. This means that the likelihood of being targeted for hacking is extremely low. It also means that no one has access to the crypto blockchain and therefore, it is impossible to manipulate or be controlled by any one individual or by any government or organization. - Cheaper transaction fees are an added benefit of cryptocurrencies being decentralized, as we do not need to pay banks or other authorities to oversee the transfer and so the fees are heavily reduced.- Transactions are also speedy, taking only mere minutes to approve and secure the transaction. This is much faster than most transactions between banks or other organizations. Some cryptos are faster than others and are constantly being improved on.- Due to the nature of cryptocurrencies being semi-anonymous, it can make them well-suited for a host of illegal activities, such as money laundering and tax evasion. However, there are also many benefits for those who are attempting to avoid repressive governments. - Since prices for cryptocurrencies are based on supply and demand in the market, the rate at which a cryptocurrency can be exchanged for another currency can fluctuate immensely, since the design of many cryptocurrencies ensures a high degree of scarcity.- There is concern that cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are not rooted in any material goods or any tangible product. Some research, however, has identified that the cost of producing a Bitcoin, which requires an increasingly large amount of electricity to mine, is directly related to its market price.- Cryptocurrency blockchains are highly secure, but user accessed wallets and other aspects of a cryptocurrency ecosystem, including exchanges, are not immune to the threat of hacking. In Bitcoin’s brief 10-year history, there have been a few online exchanges that have been the subject of hacking and theft, sometimes with millions of dollars worth of “coins” stolen.

Tulip Mania may be an inevitable end of the Dutch Golden Age. But arguably, it also funded or accelerated many innovations for trading & social changes. Of cause, the fallout is always more painful when it goes higher. But call me a hopeless optimist, many “Tech Manias” also accelerate fundamental changes for the long run.“¿Cómo empiezo en crypto?

In economics, a similar concept is called spillover: an event that occurs because of something else in an unrelated context. Just as a new tech created in one mania may be retooled in other industries, applications & even future innovations. There are many more exaptation examples in the book: Where Good Ideas Come From. Lucky for NVIDIA, they are having a few Tulips: Gaming, Cloud & Crypto.

The Internet in for yet another revolution?

The Internet is on the brink of its next stage of evolution, and many opinion makers, scientists, and ideologists state that the era of Web 3.0 is about to begin. Let’s look at what Web 3.0, what the key takeaways of this idea are, and how it came to be.

But first, let’s take a short trip down history lane. We are now living during the late Web 2.0 age of the Internet. Web 2.0 emerged after the collapse of the dot-com bubble in the early 2000s and was marked by the appearance of the social media giants. Web 2.0 is the type of Internet and also an approach to web design where systems improve alongside the number of their users, as in, the more, the better. It’s the ruling age of user-generated content and user-generated services. It gave us all the most famous blogging platforms, social networks, and the Wikipedia type of knowledge bases. Speaking of web 1.0, in the timeline of the Internet, it is considered so basic that many refer to it just as the state of the Internet before web 2.0.

We have all watched it unfold, and we have all watched it stagnate. The signs of stagnation are all there, from social media-induced anxiety disorders to the general deterioration of any credibility for almost any source of information and to universal biases being formed all the time.

What will make Web 3.0 tech a breakthrough?

The Internet today, as many thinks, is a rather sad place. So, what’s web 3.0 bringing to it, and how is it going to make it all better? The concept was formed by Jason Calacanis as a continuation of Tim O’Reilly’s Web 2.0 one. Its other name is Semantic Web, and this is exactly what it is. The kind of Internet that not just understands your input and can analyze it. It perceives your request behind that input. As such, any content that you consume and are offered to becomes customized for your particular taste, interests and is adapted for your person and personality.

If social media are the pillars of Web 2.0, machine learning algorithms, blockchain, and AI is that for web 3.0. Web 3.0 applications will not just work with concepts, but they will work with context.

How does blockchain technology factor in? Most web 3.0 apps will use decentralized ledgers and protocols, so it is expected that blockchain will receive a huge boost as a tech shortly. Web 3.0 apps will operate on smart contracts for automation and will be utterly scalable, adaptive, and ambivalent. Tim Burners-Lee, who coined the term ‘Semantic web,’ stated that Web 3.0 would connect people, machines, and any type of environment, such as home, work, and others. Scalability and being built on the back of blockchain tech will also make web 3.0 apps omnipresent, bringing them to the spheres of life that went just fine without the Internet before. This will become possible with the spread of the Internet of Things, putting smart devices in place of regular ones. Jokes aside, but jokes about your smart fridge being capable of shutting you out if you have had one beer too many are not jokes anymore even now.

And what about social impact?

Web 3.0 has already given rise to various new professions, many being connected with Big Data, all sorts of information analysis and prognosis algorithms, and AI. Cryptocurrencies are also expected to do yet another climb and receive a surge of development. It is agreed that within the new model, they will take up the role of a universal means of quick and safe exchange, leaving centralized means, such as bank cards, far behind.

Web 3.0 and its decentralized, personalized approach to information may just as well give us a fairer and more unbiased version of the World Wide Web that will become far more integrated with our everyday life.
