The Philosophy Behind BounceClub

The guiding philosophy of BounceClub is deeply motivated by Apple’s spirit of innovation and commitment to user-centric design. Apple’s success is attributed not only to the functionality of their products but also to their elegant design and user-friendly interface.

Inspired by Apple’s business model, BounceBit has shaped our ecosystem to embody these principles. At the core of our ecosystem, BounceClub serves as a DeFi hub enabling everyone to craft their own DeFi space without any coding requirements. A BounceClub owner can customize their BounceClub by simply selecting smart contracts that are listed on the BounceBit App Store, just like downloading apps from the App Store on your iPhone. The BounceBit App Store functions as a library of DeFi plugins where developers are welcome to apply for listing their smart contracts, just like publishing apps on iOS’s App Store. Users who do not own a BounceClub can explore existing BounceClubs and engage in various DeFi activities to earn yield.

BounceClub and BounceBit App Store are designed to reduce dApp redundancy, avoiding Ethereum-like scenarios where numerous projects offer repetitive dApps.

How Does BounceClub Work

If you’re qualified to claim and own a BounceClub, setting it up is straightforward: select your desired smart contracts from the BounceBit App Store, mirroring the ease of downloading apps from the App Store on your iPhone, all without needing to code. In other words, customizing BounceClub is very user-friendly for not just developers but also individuals without coding skills.

For those who do not own a BounceClub, there’s the opportunity to explore various clubs and gain yields through the DeFi activities they offer.

Developers are invited to submit their smart contracts to be listed as plugins in the BounceBit App Store, a process comparable to app publication on iOS’s App Store. Developers have the flexibility to choose from four distinct deployment modes for their smart contracts: 1) Free for all; 2) Exclusive to one or selected BounceClubs; 3) Implementing a deployment fee; 4) Offering rewards, such as airdrops, to BounceClub owners who deploy the contract.

BounceBit Testnet Event: Early Access to BounceClub

The BounceBit Testnet is set to launch on March 8th, 2024, providing early access users a firsthand opportunity to experience our BounceClub product. To qualify for claiming a Testnet version of BounceClub, ensure you register for an account at https://bouncebit.io/ and deposit a minimum of $100.

We are thrilled to announce that BounceBit has successfully closed a $6-million funding round to build BTC Restaking infrastructure. This milestone round was led by prominent venture capital firms Blockchain Capital and Breyer Capital.

BounceBit’s core innovation lies in our BTC Restaking solution, offering shared security across our ecosystem. BounceBit will build a plethora of infrastructure, exploring the use cases of restaking for the extensive Bitcoin asset class. These infrastructure components are called Shared-Security Clients (SSC).

BounceBit’s first showcase of the SSC is our BTC Restaking Chain. The BounceBit chain is a PoS Layer 1 secured by validators staking both BTC and BounceBit’s native token – A dual-token system leveraging native Bitcoin’s security with full EVM compatibility. Unlike existing Layer 2 solutions, BounceBit interacts with Bitcoin only on the asset level instead of the protocol level, taking a Layer 1 Proof-of Stake approach. BTC Restaking provides shared security to infrastructure and DApps on BounceBit, e.g. bridges and oracles will be validated by restaked BTC.

Another highlight of BounceBit is its transparent CeFi foundation that secures users’ assets via the regulated custody of Mainnet Digital and Ceffu, while leveraging on-chain asset traceability. Through an innovative CeFi + DeFi infrastructure, BounceBit empowers BTC holders to earn yield through delta-neutral strategies, whilst being additionally protected by an insurance fund.

BounceBit has strategically selected BTCB on the BNB Chain as its primary restaking asset. This choice aligns with BounceBit’s foundational philosophy of expanding the possibilities within the BTC asset class, while also leveraging the most actively traded BTC, often found on EVM chains and centralized exchanges such as Binance.
