Intro

Are you looking for a reliable source to learn solidity and web3 development? Perhaps you’re a web2 developer overwhelmed by the presence of the word “web3” on your timeline and you want to demystify the term. Or you simply want to learn more about Ethereum and want to build some cool stuff on it. In any case, keep on reading, speedrunethereum will fast-track your learning process and help you build a dApp (Decentralized application) in no time.

https://speedrunethereum.com/

Scaffolding on Ethereum

Over the years, Austin Griffith with other developers cooked up 🏗Scaffold-Eth. A highly forkable Ethereum dev stack focused on fast product iterations. With it, you can quickly experiment with Solidity using a front-end that adapts to your smart contract.

https://github.com/scaffold-eth/scaffold-eth

They created a seamless experience to launch a working prototype in a few hours. If you’re skilled and have your smart contract ready, it can be achieved in under an hour.

You’re probably curious about what you can build with Scaffold-Eth. Well, the answer is nearly anything that is related to smart contracts. Do you want to launch a DEX? No problem. In fact, we have a challenge that teaches you how. An NFT marketplace? Simple, there’s a branch for that. Launch an ERC-20 token? Easy. Create dynamic on-chain SVGs? The fancyloogies.com were made with it.

The palette is large. The true question, here, is: What do you want to make with it?

Run, Forrest, Run!

However, to learn how to use and understand Scaffold-Eth effectively you’ll need to get your hands in the mud. Speedrunethereum was made to help anyone set up their environment for web3 development. You are given a set of challenges that you need to solve. As you progress along, you get to interact with others in cohorts that teach you about teamwork/coordination while improving your skills.

A previous article was written about it by Austin himself. We invite you to check it out:

https://medium.com/@austin_48503/%EF%B8%8Fethereum-dev-speed-run-bd72bcba6a4c

By now, you’re probably starting to get an idea of what web3 development is. With Scaffold-Eth you just need to learn solidity (solidity-by-example.org), tinker with it and the front-end until you have something that works.

Need a refresher?

If you need a refresher on ReactJS, check out:

https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/react-fundamentals-for-beginners/

What’s next?

When you’re done. You should have a grasp on the technical side of web3, made a nice portfolio for potential recruiters, and became a full-on Buildler.

The 🏰BuidlGuidl🏰 will welcome you with open arms.
