Crypto trading information is fragmented and noisy. Most users want to participate but cannot spend the hours per day required to read funding, watch news, and time entries. Copy trading collapses that problem into a single product surface: pick a trader you trust, choose a copy mode, and your account mirrors their positions automatically.

Externally, the category has matured. Internally, this is the most requested feature we have ever shipped. Our principle is simple: the market can be complex, the user experience should not be.

CoinMy Copy Trading: The Numbers

Different users want different control surfaces. CoinMy ships with four modes from day one:

1) Smart Copy (default, recommended) — Mirrors the lead trader’s funding allocation ratio, leverage, and margin mode automatically. — You only set a single number: your total copy capital. Everything else is matched. — Best for: users who want one-tap onboarding.

2) Fixed Margin — Every replicated trade uses the same fixed USDT margin you specify. — Best for: users who want each position to be the same size regardless of the lead’s allocation.

Profit share rules (Lead Traders):

— When a losing trade closes, no profit share is taken; if the day’s net PnL turns negative, escrowed amounts are returned to the follower in full.

— This protects users from the “win some, lose more, still owe fees” problem common in legacy copy trading systems.

For Followers: Risk Controls You Actually Control

CoinMy Copy Trading is designed so that the lead trader controls strategy, but you control exposure:

• Copy mode: choose one of the four above, switch at any time.

• Copy capital: adjust up or down on demand.

• Pair filters: opt out of any pairs you don’t want exposure to.

• Take-profit / stop-loss: set per-position thresholds independent of the lead.

• Unfollow: 24-hour cooldown applies before re-following the same trader (existing positions are not affected by unfollowing).

• Liquidation containment: in isolated margin mode, the maximum you can lose is the copy capital you assigned. No surprise margin calls on the rest of your wallet.

The defaults are tuned so that a non-expert user can safely run Smart Copy with sensible TP/SL and not have to micromanage the strategy.

Standard copy trading gives you exposure to a strategy. Capital-Protected Copy Trading gives you exposure with a structural floor.

How It Works

1. Lead trader applies for the protected program. They must already be a regular lead trader, hold zero open positions and have zero active followers at application time, and post margin (collateral) above a configured minimum. That margin is the user-protection pool.

2. Followers subscribe to a protected trader for a fixed period (e.g., 7 days). Subscription includes a small fee that is split between the lead trader, the direct referrer, and the indirect referrer. Followers pick the subscription length the lead trader offers.

3. During the subscription, the follower’s protected sub-account mirrors only the lead trader’s strategy. Followers cannot manually close, cannot transfer funds in or out, cannot pick leverage, and cannot set TP/SL — full control sits with the protected lead trader, who is on the hook for the outcome.

4. At subscription expiry, after open positions are closed (only same-pair-same-direction add-ons are tracked, no reverse positions and no new pairs), settlement runs.

Settlement: The Core Innovation

If the period ends in a loss:

Payout to follower = Initial Equity − Final Equity − Fees

The lead trader’s posted margin covers that payout. Followers receive full principal back, minus only what fees and funding accrued (which is the unavoidable cost of being in a market).

If the period ends in profit:

Profit Share = (Final Equity − Initial Equity) × PSR

Where PSR is the profit share rate the lead trader configured (e.g., 66%).

What This Means in Practice

• For followers: a strategy product with a real, mechanically enforced downside floor. If you trust the trader’s process but want hard protection, this is the access path.

• For lead traders: a way to monetize a strategy at a much higher subscription rate, in exchange for posting skin in the game.

• For the market: an asymmetry-aligned product. The trader’s incentive is to keep drawdown small. The follower’s incentive is no longer “find the next 100x lottery ticket” but “find a trader whose process I want to subscribe to.”

Eligibility & Guardrails

• Followers must have completed at least one regular copy trade, an open contract account, and (eventually) KYC verification before they can subscribe.

• Each follower can hold at most one active protected subscription at a time. Regular copy trades are unrestricted.

• The maximum a single follower can subscribe with is capped by the lead trader’s remaining margin.

• A protected trader cannot accept new subscriptions if their margin drops below the configured threshold. Trader can top up margin at any time from the front end.
