Tax evasion is a topic rarely broached philosophically in the public square due to the potentially life-threatening effects of implicating oneself.

But in every history there is a tipping point where words gain an extraordinary abundance of power, and speaking may tip the scales for future generations.

And I believe that time is approaching.

Technology is being stifled by the state while the tools to spread it continue to advance and propagate. The state is peaking in incompetence across the globe while savings are systematically syphoned to the moochers.

The people will not allow their blank checks, and those of their future offspring, to be signed by their violent gods forever.

But consider the following assumptions:

Taxation is theft, a violent act that funds other immoral and violent acts

You are certain that you can privately shield some of your income in a way that assures there is no chance of it being known

You have some income that could be indefinitely shielded, and would be comfortable leaving them to your descendants, still shielded, if it was unsafe to unshield before your death

From these assumptions, I believe we can conclude that you should conceal some of your income or assets and evade taxes.

Libertarians and advocates of freedom have for decades taken the stance that “it’s more important to stay safe so we may continue to peacefully educate the masses”.

But cryptography is changing the game.

We just can’t say it yet.

So whisper these important words to your neighbors. Teach them in your homes. Share them when you know you’ve done it safely.
