Today, when many still doubt the "true value" of Bitcoin, it has coincided with the appearance of a very bullish technical pattern on the price charts, the so-called "Golden Cross". But what is the "Golden Cross" and how is it formed? The "Golden Cross" is a phenomenon that occurs when an asset's 50-day simple moving average (SMA) crosses above the 200-day SMA. This indicates that short-term buying interest is greater than long-term buying interest, which usually precedes strong, sustained uptrends.

The "Golden Cross" is formed when the 50-day SMA goes from being below the 200-day SMA to being above it. This means that the asset has changed from a downtrend to an uptrend, implying increased demand and optimism among investors.

What does the "Golden Cross" mean for the immediate future of Bitcoin? This "signal" occurred on January 15, 2024, when the cryptocurrency's 50-day SMA surpassed the 200-day SMA on the daily chart. This was the result of a 30% increase in the price of Bitcoin in the previous two weeks, driven by several positive factors, such as the approval of several Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) by the Securities and Exchange Commission. of the United States (SEC), increasing institutional and retail adoption of the cryptocurrency, and improving the technical and security fundamentals of the Bitcoin network.

As I mentioned previously, it is a very bullish sign for the future of the cryptocurrency, since it suggests that the market has entered a new phase of growth and expansion. Historically, Bitcoin's "Golden Cross" has preceded major price rallies in the past. Furthermore, Bitcoin's "Golden Cross" coincides with other technical indicators that point to further price growth, such as the relative strength index (RSI), which measures momentum and overbought or oversold of an asset, and is found at a healthy level, indicating that there is room for further gains without entering overbought territory. Likewise, Bitcoin trading volume has increased significantly in recent weeks, reflecting increased interest and participation in the market.

Let me clarify that while Bitcoin's "Golden Cross" is a very positive sign for the future of the cryptocurrency, it does not guarantee that the price of Bitcoin will rise indefinitely. Like any other technical indicator, the "Golden Cross" is not infallible and may be subject to false signals or delays. Additionally, the price of Bitcoin may be affected by other external factors, such as regulation, competition, innovation, geopolitical events, economic crises, etc.

Therefore, if you are a Bitcoin investor and/or trader, remember to be cautious and not get carried away by enthusiasm or fear, but rather base your decisions on a thorough and balanced analysis of the available data, as well as your own objectives. and risk tolerance. You should also be prepared to deal with the volatility and uncertainty inherent in the cryptocurrency market, which can cause strong price swings both up and down.

Is the "Golden Cross" a guarantee of success or can it be a trap? What can we expect from the price of Bitcoin in the future? This model is based on the relationship between the existing supply of Bitcoin and annual production, and assumes that the price follows an exponential trend.

Another example is the discounted cash flow (DCF) valuation model, which estimates the present value of the future cash flows that an asset would generate. According to this model, the price of Bitcoin could reach $200,000 in 2025, and $500,000 in 2030, if certain conditions are met, such as a 15% adoption rate and a 20% discount rate.

It should be noted that in addition to the "Golden Cross" technical signal there are other fundamental factors that are supporting the increase in the price of Bitcoin. Among them are:

Today I read a news story where Jurrien Timmer, an executive who serves as director of global asset allocation at Fidelity, one of the largest fund managers in the world, where he raised his optimism about the future of Bitcoin after the formation of the "Cross Golden". In a tweet posted on January 15, Timmer stated that "...Bitcoin was set to consolidate its recent gains and continue rising amid growing investor demand...". He also shared a chart showing the price evolution of Bitcoin since 2010, highlighting the seven occasions where a "Golden Cross" has occurred. According to the chart, five of those times have resulted in huge bull runs, while the others two have been false signals.

The "Golden Cross" of Bitcoin is an important event that could predict, indicate and highlight a strong change in trend, further reinforced by the increase in optimism in the market for the largest and oldest cryptocurrency in the world. The price has shown impressive strength in recent weeks, driven by these signals and other positive factors. However, this does not mean that the path is easy or linear, as the cryptocurrency market is full of risks and opportunities. Furthermore, it is neither a guarantee of success nor an invitation to complacency, but rather an opportunity to evaluate the potential and risks of Bitcoin, as well as to adapt to new market conditions.

However, there are always some avenues that we can take advantage of to achieve some profits. One of these ways is cryptocurrency airdrops.

What are airdrops? Airdrops are a way to distribute cryptocurrency or tokens for free to users who meet certain requirements, such as registering on a platform, following a social media account, downloading an app, or performing a specific task. The goal of airdrops is to generate interest and publicity about a new project, increase the number of users, and encourage the adoption of blockchain technology.

These airdrops can be an opportunity to make profits without investing money, since some of the tokens distributed can increase in value in the future or be exchanged for other cryptocurrencies. Additionally, they can be a way to learn about new innovative projects and participate in your communities.

However, not all airdrops are the same or offer the same advantages. Some may be scams, others may have very demanding or complex requirements, and others may not be worth it due to the low value or illiquidity of the tokens given. Therefore, it is important to do your research before participating in an airdrop and take precautions to protect our privacy and security.

I tell you that I started participating in airdrops a few years ago looking (like everyone else 😀) for a way to obtain free cryptocurrencies. I thought it was a great idea, since I could try different projects and platforms without having to invest. During that period I would look for any airdrops that appeared on the internet and write down whether they were interesting or not.

However, I soon realized that it was not as easy or as profitable as I thought. Some of the airdrops turned out to be scams, who just wanted to steal my personal data or waste my time. Others simply didn't give me anything, because I didn't meet all the requirements or because they ran out of tokens before I arrived. The few I got weren't of much use to me, because the tokens I received were either very low in value or couldn't be sold anywhere.

At one point I felt overwhelmed by the amount of options and possibilities there were on the internet. New airdrops were coming out every day and I couldn't keep up. It was very difficult for me to stay up to date with all the news, verify the veracity or quality of each airdrop, and complete all the tasks that were asked of me. In the end, I ended up leaving a lot of airdrops incomplete, so I didn't qualify to receive the tokens.

At this point you will wonder why I still believe in airdrops? Despite everything, I have not lost hope or interest in airdrops. I still think that they are a way to start from the beginning in new projects and support the development of blockchain technology. There are many worthwhile airdrops that offer quality tokens and potential, while having reasonable and transparent requirements.

For this reason, I eventually continue searching for and participating in airdrops, but with more discretion and caution. Now, before signing up for an airdrop, I try to research the project, the team, the token, the market and the community. I also review the conditions and steps I need to follow, and make sure they do not compromise my privacy or security. And above all, I do not let myself be carried away by greed or promises of easy profits.

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most famous and admired footballers in the world. These are some of the questions that many of us ask ourselves in the face of this scandal, which has highlighted the risks and uncertainties that unfortunately surround the world of cryptocurrencies and NFTs, a phenomenon that has grown exponentially in recent years, but that still It lacks clear and uniform regulation.

For those starting out in this crypto ecosystem, I briefly explain that NFTs are unique and unrepeatable digital assets, based on blockchain technology to guarantee their authenticity and ownership. With them you can represent anything, from works of art, music, videos, games, sports, to characters, memes or tweets. Although they are not at their "maximum splendor" at the moment, they continue to generate great interest among creators, collectors and investors, who see in them a form of expression, fun and profit.

However, NFTs also pose a number of challenges and problems, such as copyright protection, transaction security, environmental sustainability, price volatility, speculation, fraud and scam. In this sense, the case of Cristiano Ronaldo and Binance is an example of how the lack of information, transparency and responsibility can negatively affect users and those involved in this type of market.

On the one hand, users who purchased Cristiano Ronaldo NFTs blindly trusted the reputation of Binance and the player, without verifying the veracity and legality of the offer, nor the conditions and risks of the operation. On the other hand, Binance and Cristiano Ronaldo were not clear or honest with users, and took advantage of their popularity and influence to promote a product that did not live up to its promises.

This case shows us that we cannot take all the information we receive, even from well-known personalities, as investment advice. Every initiative we take in the market, every operation we execute involves a risk, so we always, as I often say, do our own research before making any decision. NFTs are a fascinating innovation, opening up a world of possibilities for creativity, entertainment and value. But they are also a complex reality, which requires greater education, regulation and ethics. Only in this way can we enjoy the benefits of NFTs without falling into crude traps.
